Who ordered from BestBuy ?

I pre-ordered from the Best Buy website on 10/27 at around 2:30am CST and received a 11/3 pickup date. Went by my local store this afternoon and they haven't received any and don't know when they're coming. I haven't received a delay email and the order status shows Processing, but still says "Available Today".

Not a single AT&T store in the area received any inventory either. Crazy...
 
Just got back from bb. Couple of updates. Bestbuy reps claimed they do not price match apple products and immediately asked if I wanted to cancel my order so no luck there. Activation with a borrowed verizon sim was painless (ordered at&t 'model') and should be fully unlocked. Model is a1865. The bb phones do not come with a sim.

I just got back from my local BB, had similar experience with other people here. No luck for the price match.
The manager there claimed it's Apple who set the BB's price $100 higher than Apple themselves, so they can have more market share.. Really interesting to learn that. Also, he claimed the iPhone X from BB does come unlocked but need to go through special procedure in order to fully unlocked it. Since I ordered online, he suggested me take to the store before activating it.
So I guess they will do the Verizon sim card trick for you.

Do you know if you have to use a Verizon SIM to "unlock" it—or can I simply put in my T-mobile SIM?
 
I ordered mine at 6PM or so on 10/27 and got a 11/10 pickup date, but as of today it has moved to “Preparing” so I wonder if I’ll get it before then? My initial preauthorization has fallen off and nothing new has shown up. Not sure if these stores are getting daily shipments or weekly since I haven’t really seen any pickup dates between today and the 10th. But I’m happy with the 10th, considering what time I ordered, just as long as it doesn’t get pushed back. :)
 
My second phone that I recieved the delayed shipment email on this morning has just now moved to "shipped" and I've been given a UPS tracking number. Looks like both of my phones will be arriving Monday now.

Getting the phones on Monday isn't the end of the world. The problem to me is the poor communication from Best Buy. Having my order delayed from Friday to Monday is fine, but don't give me an email with a status of "Delayed" that says "if we don't ship it by 12/2, it will be cancelled". That will freak anybody out, especially with something like the iPhone. Also, don't ship something Next Day Air that takes 4 days to get to me :)
 
How’d everyone make out? I was able to get my X at 8am since they opened early and I was the only customer lol it’s an amazing X day

As far as I know, it's been sporadic. Not a single Best Buy or AT&T in my area even received a shipment if Xs today so far.
 
In and out today at 8:30 in ten minutes. having a tough time adding on AppleCare+ though. Apple's website is listing the phone as unactivated and Best Buy wasn't able to do the purchase. Will stop by the Best Buy in a bit to try again.
 
Canceling my Best Buy order. I got off work at 5pm CST, called the Verizon store down the street and they had the exact combo I wanted, 1 of 2 total phones left. They also were doing a launch day only accessory bundle sale. Super stoked. Love this phone!

Agree went at 8am was the only customer got red carpet service Zag installed I even let the guys play on my X lol it felt like a chill living room kicking it lol Thanks BestBuy Southglenn!

Picked one up at 10AM when they opened. Only 2 other people there picking up phones. No success on the price match.

Thinking of canceling my pre-order. I'm unsure of the colors and other than the gesture swipes that I missed from webOS, I'm not sure it is worth the upgrade.

I basically reopened my Verizon account for nothing to make room for the X. It seems like a great phone but when I walked inside the Apple Store in Brea, I walked away thinking that's it? I guess it's similar to how people felt after they saw The Phantom Menace and The Force Awakens.

Silver X smudges but has the more premium looking sides although it scratches. The space gray looks seamless but not a true black and the sides looks cheaper. Smudges just as much.

I wish the smaller Pixel 2 had the panda color and same design as the X but without the notch. I hope people can still go enjoy the X but I feel I would rather buy 8 SEs over 1 X. Matte finish that doesn't show fingerprints (not a case guy) and still looks good after 4-5 years.

X's screen reaching my right thumb to the top is also a bit of a struggle. The best iPhones especially in design and size were made half a decade ago. I'm typing on my SE now with SwiftKey and it's as fast if I was typing on my V20.
 
Well, I was tired of waiting for updates from Best Buy so I went to Apple.com to check availabity. Turns out they have the model I want at my local store for pick up today. Pretty cool. Canceling my BB order (after I pick up at Apple, just to make sure).

I activated the Best Buy "Verizon" model with an AT&T SIM and got the "Congrats, your iPhone is unlocked" as well, so I don't think finding a Verizon SIM is necessary at all.
 
My phone arrived at my Ontrac’s local hub at 5:45am pacific time yesterday (literally 10 mins drive from my house) and had a scheduled delivery date of yesterday (11/3/17) by end of day. However delivery was never made. Called Ontrac last night at at 9:30pm and apparently it’s still at the facility and no driver picked up my phone to deliver it. Anyone in NorCal have the same issue as me?
 
Guys I just called customer service, waited 45 minutes on hold....basically they said they can't price match the phone when paid in full because its locked to the carrier of the first sim card you'll put in the phone...she said something about its not a universal unlocked version from apple, the version apple sells is unlocked to be used on any carrier, theirs is not, she said if the phone was financed through the carriers they wouldn't charge the $100 extra....then said they don't sell the full price version and they took it off their website and if I want the $100 credit I'd have to return it and re buy a different one and finance it through my carrier.

What a headache lmaooo thank God I ordered two on launch day one through BB and one through Apple which I will be getting in two weeks so I'm using this one for a week or so and returning it and wait on the one from Apple.
