No of course it's not the only way, but for ME, the drop down notifications and being able to quick Mark as Read or Delete was one of my favorite features of iOS8, so it was pretty important to be able to do that one handed, for ME...and maybe for the guy from that review.

Great. For YOU. That's not what the reviewer said. He didn't qualify it or explain it like you are trying to do now. He just said it couldn't be done. That you couldn't quickly glance at your device or email. Therefore, he LIED. He was inaccurate in his statement. He was unclear. He was lazy. Pick whatever adjective you want. What HE said in his review is simply not true.

I'm not going by what I think the guy in the review wanted to do. I'm going by what he actually said. Not sure why you are intent on arguing such a clear and blatant case of a POORLY WRITTEN review.

No regrets

I thought I would regret my 6+ but I love it. My roommate got the regular 6 and it's just too small. To me the 6+ is the perfect size.

So is pulling down the notifications pane the only way to quickly glance at email?

In the old days, we used to swipe to unlock (at the bottom), launch the email app (also at the bottom) and scroll with the thumb.

So I guess if pulling down the notification pane is the ONLY way you can glance at your emails (and Reachability doesn't do it for you), then I guess I'm wrong.

Sigh.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the "oh, that pizza is too big for me" posts to come along any time now.

And they will, because this thread is SO AWESOME!

I don't necessarily regret my 6 Plus but I'm not completely sold on it either. I am coming from an iPhone 5s and a Nexus 5 (switched back and forth). I just am not sure if the 6 Plus is big enough of an upgrade from the 2 phones I was using. (I've sold both already) I'll give it a few more days and decide.

He's in denial...
Try taking the 6+ on a 5 mile run... I did, not fun...

Yes, this right here. Until there is a decent solution for this, the 6 Plus is going to be a problem. The 6 Plus is awesome unless you like to exercise...

No doubt the longer term solution Apple has in mind here is the watch. While it depends on the phone right now there's no doubt in my mind that they intend to evolve it into a device that can stand alone at least long enough for exercise like jogging, biking and so forth.

I highlighted them for you. If you can't glance at your device or read email one handed, you have other issues.

No everything has to boil down to someone's preference, especially when they make patently false statements.

What were "the patently false statements"? Copy and paste and we can examine them.

The guy explained why the phone was too big for him, and gave some nice insights into two handed versus one handed behavior. And now another poster has come along and said much the same thing. Maybe he's lying too!

You seem to be really invested in trying to discredit his experiences and viewpoints for others for some reason… What is it, you ordered a Plus and are now getting nervous it may be too big to use one handed?

I think people will be able to take the Watch on runs without their iphone when it comes out. The one thing it will lack (at least the first rev) is GPS. That's one thing that is making me take a look at the Timex one https://www.timex.com/one, but lack of podcast support is a deal breaker.

I have a 6+ on order, and I have a regular 6 right now. I may just keep the the 6 after researching running armbands. Phablets look a bit rediculous on the arm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhYcNjm7keQ. (Perhaps I need bigger guns!).

If Apple Watch had GPS, or there was an accessory, such as a bluetooth clip or something, I would have no problems going with the 6+.

For me my smartphone is an Internet device. I use it professionally for mail, checking appointments, looking up stuff, taking the odd photo, texting and lastly for phonecalls.

The size is fine for me. I have had a note 3 that I loved. There were only two issues with it :

1. The build quality wasn't up to par with the iPhone

And

2. It didn't run iOS

So the 6 plus is an absolute no-brainer for me

Same here

I have had some hand cramp and have decent size medium large hands. It does get a bit tough to hold one handed but I've had it for 24 hours. I also ended up going down to the store and getting an Apple leather case though I have always gone without because I was worried about it slipping with the rounded edges. It is lighter and more comfortable without the case. I have ordered a couple Spigen light clear cases that will arrive this week. I'll see how that is. I love the screen and other features but haven't made a final decision. I agree that 5.0-5.2 would have been the sweet spot. But I understand why they did it.

Does the grip and ability to use the phone improve with the Apple Leather case? I've got the 6 Plus and have also been getting hand 'cramps' and it's quite slippery and fragile to use one handed. If the case improves the grip and experience, I'm willing to keep it.

Would appreciate your opinions.

Thanks!

In the Charlie Rose interview Cook alluded to a range of other Apple wearables that haven't even been rumored yet. I'm thinking these will be along the lines of a "headless" version of the watch that's a sensor package with GPS and so forth that goes with you on a run and dumps the collected data when you come in range of your phone again.

No. I already pasted them highlighted them and explained why they are false. If you don't want to go back and reread the post I'm not going to do your work for you.

No. That's not what the guy said. Go back and read what he actually said and don't try to make it up as you go.

And you seem to be intent on pointless arguing. The guy SAID that you couldn't do a quick GLANCE of emails one handed on an iPhone 6+. This is not about opinions or experiences. What he said is, simply put, not true. I'm not sure why you feel entitled to tell me what I can or cannot say about a review. I am criticizing the review. Reviewers are humans. They make mistakes. They get lazy. I have no other "investment" other than pointing out an obvious falsehood.

Runs great for me. I am happy with my iPhone 6+. Those who had it and are regretting it better get a life.

Exchanging mine tomorrow. Love the screen so much and would love to keep it but I just can't manage using it when I'm not sitting or laying in bed. Going to the gym with it yesterday was nothing short of awkward.

I have a life and my 6+ is getting in the way of living it efficiently.

May be giving a time to adjustment would be the key here. But in the end your life, your iPhone and your money.

I was at the store today to fiddle with the phones & i6+ is undoubtedly my choice hence regret will not come into play at a later stage. Am switching from a 4.4 screen, also I don't have the pocket dilemma; the phone stays in my bag:D

Well it's a double-edged sword. I was hiking over the weekend and was able to reply to a text while hiking in full sun, wearing sunglasses, sweaty hands and I was traveling pretty fast up rocky switchbacks.

I never could have done that with a 5S or previous iPhone. I always have to stop, take off my glasses and squint at the screen while replying.

So I really did appreciate the size/display on the 6 Plus, no doubt about it, but then storing that phone somewhere, that's what we need an elegant solution for. Traditional belt holsters are bulky/clunky enough, let alone how big one needs to be if your 6 Plus is in any kind of decent protective case.

I'm hoping for a solution...

I've gone on 3 5+ mile runs using an armband with my 6+ and it hasn't posed a problem at all.

The hand cramps are because it's too big; it fatigues your finger muscles having to open them up so much.

Don't get me wrong I love the screen size and I have big hands, but it's really big and was actually debating getting the 4.7 screen. But decided not too. It's a beautiful phone but it's just kinda hard to hold on to it. Maybe it will just take a little time to get used to. Anyone else in this boat.

Not me. It's the best phone I've ever owned. I love it.

When I came home this evening I spent an hour on it before even opening my laptop (and I got it on launch day).

Can't see my self ever going down from a 5.5" screen size now. My neighbor's 4.7 looks and feels so small to me.

Looks like I'm one of the rare macrumor posters who is lucky to not be an amputee. Guess what I do for the few operations that are easier done with two hands? I use two hands.
