I ordered my 6 Plus knowing that i wouldn't be able to use it with one hand to do everything. But coming from the HTC One M8 5" screen I was disappointed that the smaller iPhone was only 4.7". So I ordered it knowing that if the size was unbearable I have the option to exchange it for the 6. Well, after 3 days I feel very comfortable with it and know that I made the right choice. I don't have big hands but I am able to take it out of my pocket and check a text message, notifications, make a PHONE call etc. Yes, if I want to write a message on the go I can't, but I have accepted this and know that I have to use both hands for many functions, but for me this beautiful screen, better camera and battery is worth it. So, I'm loving my 6 Plus, and using Siri more often for simple tasks and messaging. :)

The 6+ I saw in store looked like the screen was perfect. I absolutely loved how thin it is and I am GLAD they put a 2900 mah battery in that sucker...

I picked up the plus on release day, tried it for a day, and returned it for a 6 this morning. It was just too big and uncomfortable for me. I like to whip it out and check a few social sights here and there and never realized how much I did that one-handed. I'm super happy with the decision to go with the 4.7 inch instead. It might have made a difference if I didn't have an iPad at home...but since I do I prefer something easier to maneuver for everyday use.

The quote is from an article written by a guy who has the Plus and finds it too big for him to use with one hand comfortably, and that the reachability feature was a drag to use all the time. He will be exchanging the Plus for a 6. Maybe the plus will be fine for you one handed, but it wasn't for him.

Yes, and if he were referring to an iPad I would agree. This is not a "it's not for me" discussion. It's about making exaggerated untrue claims in a review. Two different things.

Besides, the quote itself doesn't apply to any phone in particular. It applies to one handed use versus two handed use in general, and I think it makes good points.

Ummmm, the quote above is from an iPhone 6+ "review" (if you can call it that) from Slate Magazine. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at their lack of accuracy and prodigious use of hyperbole. It's a trademark of theirs. Click bait.

It’s not a device you can whip out of your pocket and glance at quickly in between other tasks. It’s not a device you can use to quickly scan your email while carrying a grocery bag or hanging onto a subway pole.

Yes, you may need to use both hands for certain things, but the two examples the reviewer gives above are simply not true of the iPhone 6+.

The only thing I regretted about my Plus order was the choosing white but now I've been using for 3 days, i couldn't be happier. Choose what you will. Gadgets are all subjective at the end of the day.

NO RAGRETS!

You will have this phone for less than a year before you plot your next purchase. Who cares? Try big one, try small one. Nothing permanent, holds resale value well. This threads have become absurd.

Regretted it the moment I opened it...

...actually, I regretted it the moment I hung up with ATT after ordering it.

I tried to let the idea of the plus grow on me. It won't be so bad, I kept telling myself. I'll get used to it.

Got it on Friday, opened the box and was like "whoah, this is huge." Spent 2 days with it, trying to get used to it. Wouldn't fit in some of my pockets, looked like I had an ipad at the gym, couldn't run with it, annoying to use one handed, etc...

Took it back to ATT on Sunday and exchanged it for the 6. SO. MUCH. HAPPIER.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful phone, but it wasn't for me. Too impractical for what I use my phone for.

I regret not knowing it was going to be a month long wait to get one even though I got out of bed to pre-order. I regret not knowing that Apple was going to launch the iPhone 6 Plus in other countries a week or two later instead of filling my order first.

After spending an entire weekend with my Plus... I'm sold.

I thought a few times of going back to the AT&T Store to flirt with the 6 and maybe swap them out, but I'm realizing that if I do that I'll undoubtedly regret my decision almost on a daily basis. I use the phone's camera and web browsing quite a bit, and the size of the Plus makes those things so much better IMO. The display is gorgeous.

Landscape mode, too. Love that landscape mode.

I'm not sure what's exaggerated or untrue or what you're not understanding. The quy reported his experiences with the Plus, and then made an insightful comment about the differences between one handed and two handed use.

I highlighted them for you. If you can't glance at your device or read email one handed, you have other issues.

No everything has to boil down to someone's preference, especially when they make patently false statements.

holy cow, just charged my iPhone 4 to bring for trade in - OMG!

after a w/e with 6+ there is no going back!! i even used iPhone 5 to make sure pics were off and they both feel like mini's, i can't even see the letters on 4 + 5 screens as my eyesight has now adjusted for 6+, is that normal??

I have the 6+ coming the 4th and after playing with this weekend in the store, I decided if I am going to carry a phone this big around, it's going to be the Note 4 that's better and smaller.

Actually the guy is pretty right as I demonstrated in this video...

http://youtu.be/7kh39HDAIRo

If you're using the phone one handed, and say your other hand is occupied with carrying a bag or whatever, you really can't do some things like access an incoming email that dropped down from the top notification, it's pretty frustrating. Maybe other can, I couldn't.

Do you think I should get a 12" pizza or 14"?

14" - the 12" always leaves me wanting a little more. Better to have some leftovers than end up feeling niggardly hungry.

(This was a really deep statement, in context of this thread, for those who think I'm a greedy bastard)

So is pulling down the notifications pane the only way to quickly glance at email?

In the old days, we used to swipe to unlock (at the bottom), launch the email app (also at the bottom) and scroll with the thumb.

So I guess if pulling down the notification pane is the ONLY way you can glance at your emails (and Reachability doesn't do it for you), then I guess I'm wrong.

Sigh.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the "oh, that pizza is too big for me" posts to come along any time now.

I don't see why anyone would need to regret it, just make the most of the 14 day return policy and swap it for a 6.

No of course it's not the only way, but for ME, the drop down notifications and being able to quick Mark as Read or Delete was one of my favorite features of iOS8, so it was pretty important to be able to do that one handed, for ME...and maybe for the guy from that review.
