So where do all these returned pluses go? Because I'm still waiting for my preorder![]()
ME TOO. But at least apple has sent me free accessories for my extended wait.

Nice! Tmobile is only handing out frustration for my extended wait.
I ordered my 6 Plus knowing that i wouldn't be able to use it with one hand to do everything. But coming from the HTC One M8 5" screen I was disappointed that the smaller iPhone was only 4.7". So I ordered it knowing that if the size was unbearable I have the option to exchange it for the 6. Well, after 3 days I feel very comfortable with it and know that I made the right choice. I don't have big hands but I am able to take it out of my pocket and check a text message, notifications, make a PHONE call etc. Yes, if I want to write a message on the go I can't, but I have accepted this and know that I have to use both hands for many functions, but for me this beautiful screen, better camera and battery is worth it. So, I'm loving my 6 Plus, and using Siri more often for simple tasks and messaging.![]()
What's even more annoying is people who complain about posters who complain about duplicate threads. #
The quote is from an article written by a guy who has the Plus and finds it too big for him to use with one hand comfortably, and that the reachability feature was a drag to use all the time. He will be exchanging the Plus for a 6. Maybe the plus will be fine for you one handed, but it wasn't for him.
Besides, the quote itself doesn't apply to any phone in particular. It applies to one handed use versus two handed use in general, and I think it makes good points.
It’s not a device you can whip out of your pocket and glance at quickly in between other tasks. It’s not a device you can use to quickly scan your email while carrying a grocery bag or hanging onto a subway pole.
Agreed. I have 2 hands for a reason.![]()
Yes, and if he were referring to an iPad I would agree. This is not a "it's not for me" discussion. It's about making exaggerated untrue claims in a review. Two different things.
Ummmm, the quote above is from an iPhone 6+ "review" (if you can call it that) from Slate Magazine. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at their lack of accuracy and prodigious use of hyperbole. It's a trademark of theirs. Click bait.
Yes, you may need to use both hands for certain things, but the two examples the reviewer gives above are simply not true of the iPhone 6+.
I'm not sure what's exaggerated or untrue or what you're not understanding. The quy reported his experiences with the Plus, and then made an insightful comment about the differences between one handed and two handed use.
Me too.
It's so that I can use my phone and do something else with the other hand at the same time.
I highlighted them for you. If you can't glance at your device or read email one handed, you have other issues.
Do you think I should get a 12" pizza or 14"?
Actually the guy is pretty right as I demonstrated in this video...

If you're using the phone one handed, and say your other hand is occupied with carrying a bag or whatever, you really can't do some things like access an incoming email that dropped down from the top notification, it's pretty frustrating. Maybe other can, I couldn't.
14" - the 12" always leaves me wanting a little more. Better to have some leftovers than end up feeling niggardly hungry.
(This was a really deep statement, in context of this thread, for those who think I'm a greedy bastard)
So is pulling down the notifications pane the only way to quickly glance at email?
In the old days, we used to swipe to unlock (at the bottom), launch the email app (also at the bottom) and scroll with the thumb.
So I guess if pulling down the notification pane is the ONLY way you can glance at your emails (and Reachability doesn't do it for you), then I guess I'm wrong.
