Also got a $50 credit for the price protection on my 3GS :) and no gay waiting in line for 3 hours and possibly not even getting the Iphone4 with it's yellowish tinted screen :) and I like to hold my phone however I like to make a call.. And I didn't want my $50.00 otter defender case to go to waste that I just bought for it a month ago. And I only make phone calls, text and use the net. Don't need the double sided camera, and HD video recorder and all that nonsense.

Let's try your logic out on some other topics:

I think prescription eyeglasses are stupid. Why would I wear glasses when I have 20/20 vision? They cost a lot and it's just an extra thing to carry around with me.

Or let's try another: I think 4-wheel drive vehicles are stupid. I live in Florida where it never snows, and I never drive offroad, so I have no need for 4-wheel drive, therefore 4WD vehicles are nonsense.

Get the point? The fact that you personally don't have a use for most of the iPhone's features doesn't say anything about the iPhone, just about you. Maybe if you could show that most people don't have any use for its features you'd have a point.

I have a 3Gs with the new iOS4 and see no reason to pay for the IP4. Outside the screen, which isn't an issue for me with the 3Gs, there's no valid need or want for me to upgrade. The things improved are more incremental really. The next gen that will perhaps work on an faster 4G network will cause me to move. Otherwise, I've yet to see my 3Gs limit me in any way.

I don't. iPhone 4 all the way! :D

Hell No Android all the way on a more affordable carrier... But im locked in with ATT :( I think ATT will shoot themselves in the foot due to greed and somehow we will be able to get out of our contracts, by some law they break or something. Just wait.

The one thing I like better about the 3GS more than the 4 is that the 3GS is really available in white.

Why are you locked in? No - I'd much rather have iOS over Android, but that's just my personal preference. :apple:

I loved my 3GS it was an awesome phone, before that I loved my 3G, it was my first iPhone, but I have to say this phone is most likely going to be hard to beat, just the screen alone is worth it, and my battery life, well I get a full day on a single charge.

Android has Flash, You can change your own battery, you don't have to be locked into ATT with high prices on an overloaded network they are to cheap to upgrade...

I'm locked into my contract for 2 years :(

I love my 3GS, the iPhone 4 hasn't been released here (who knows when ) and I've never seen an iPhone 4 in person so I love my 3GS. :D

I loved the 3GS for the fact I could place Spirit jailbreak on it and use MyWi for tethering.
Now that I've got Handy Flashlight there is no need to be wishful over the 3GS and loving the new iPhone 4 even more.

The 3GS is my first iPhone coming from a long history of BlackBerry usage.

I love it, and will keep it for awhile. See no need to upgrade at this time. I'm not saying it won't happen in the future - just not planning on it right now.

I had the iPhone 3G, the iPhone 3GS and now the iPhone 4.

Love all of them. The speed bump in the 3GS was really stellar. I would say as far a actual usage the iPhone 4 is not much faster than the 3GS. The difference between the 3G and the 3GS was pretty dramatic.

But! the camera image quality bump from 3G to 3GS was pretty disappointing.

I would say in certain ways each year the iPhone grows "incrementally" It just seems to improve in different ways.

iPhone 2g to iPhone 3G: Faster data speed, new design, similar battery performance, same display

iPhone 3G to iPhone 3GS: Much faster processor. same design, similar crappy camera, similar battery performance, same display

iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4: ever so slight processor bump (performance wise), BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY!!, Awesome camera. forward facing camera, new design, And battery life that probably blows away most smartphones. and the double ram does not hurt. Also MUCH faster upload speeds over 3Gnetwork.

If you have a 3GS with the 4.0 software and are not wanting for a better camera/forward facing/720p with a much better battery than I would say stick with the 3GS.

Im glad that I upgraded. I use the new cameras a lot as I like to use my phone as my everything device (phone/palmtop/camera/GPS/iPod)

The 3GS is still a badass phone. It's pretty cool that it's the new "cheap iPhone" cause it sure does do a lot of cool stuff. Im glad that apple didn't pull some artificial "limitations" on the 3GS this OS go around. None of that "no voice control on the 3G" BS or the "no MMS on the iPhone 2G".

This time around all upgrades were purely hardware and didn't try to neuter the 3GS.

The person who bought my 3GS off of eBay is probably enjoying it right now. I am thoroughly enjoying my iPhone 4 with tethering courtesy of Handy Light. Don't know if I need to be jailbroken now. Tethering was the main reason my other two iPhones were jailbroken. The only thing I miss about my 3GS is the feel of it in my hand. It felt more natural than the 4 but I am getting used to it slowly.

hmmm..

I Loved my 3GS, then I bought my i4. Everyone I know who is still using their 3GS is chopping at the bit to upgrade.

If you love your 3GS thats great, but the iphone 4 has many more features.

Your not getting an iphone 4 will only help those who want one, get one. Way to help the cause.

I liked my 3GS a lot, but, the iP4 is SO much better. The Retina makes this the best ever. I could never use a 3GS again after the new phone. haha

I still have my 3GS because I didn't pay attention and upgraded it to 4.0 when it was released. Didn't realize that my friend who was going to buy it won't be able to unlock it by downgrading firmwares. Should have done my research. Hopefully the jailbreak/unlock will come out soon!!

I'm happy that you're happy with the 3GS. It's a great phone, and since iOS4 came out, it's an even better phone now than it was when it launched. I think the 3GS may develop a cult following as time goes on, especially since the rounded back is a completely different experience from the iPhone 4 and is much better for some people.

That being said, please stop using the word "gay" as an adjective to describe things that you think are unlikeable. There's nothing homosexual about waiting in line for 3 hours to buy a phone. Using the word "gay" to describe the iPhone line is the wrong choice of an adjective, not to mention juvenile and potentially offensive. Thanks!

Anyone using "gay" as an adjective is a sure sign your communicating with someone 16 or less, therefore they already know everything. :)

I originally sold my 32GB 3GS a few weeks ago for $300. The next week, I bought a 8GB 3GS that came with 4.0 on it and for my third line on Sunday, I bought a new white 32GB 3GS that has 3.1.3 on it. I still love using the 3GS as well as my 32GB iPhone 4!

A new case is on the way for one of the 3GS in the morning from Apple. I have an iSkin Revo2 for the other one.

Long live the 3GS! :)

I had the 4, it wasn't one of the good ones. Had a great screen, but problems.

Had already sold my beloved 3gs. I miss it.

I returned iPhone 4 and have been back to 3GS for a few days. I do not miss it.

- 3GS has superior feel in my hand, no case required.
- The display is terrific. No complaints without the Retina side-by-side.
- May miss the five Facetime calls per year.
- iOS 4 runs fantastic and I cannot detect speed differences.

For a while, I was really noticing the pixels when I would use my 3Gs after using the 4. Now I can look at the 3GS and I don't see the pixels.

Didn't bother to read the entire thread (sue me)

If I was abducted by space aliens and I was on the verge of the 3g signal border and was given a choice between a 3gs and a ip4 without a case, then I would have to choose the 3gs and hopefully be able to call in to the Army or NASA to come rescue me. If the ip4 came with a case on it, it would not really matter and it would be a 50% chance if I would live again.

But in the real world, I love the features of the ip4 and since I have a TPU case on it, the antenna is a non-issue for me. So what does this mean? It means double rainbow and my ip4 across the sky! So Intense!
