I have a launch day iPhone 4. I can remember when it arrived by FedEx and all my coworkers crowded around to watch the unboxing. I was thinking of switching to Verizon and selling it, but since I decided to stay with AT&T, I'm keeping it as it's unlocked and I will need it for international travel.

I got a launch 4 had it replaced a week later at the apple store for the yellow screen issue almost upgraded to the 4s a couple months ago and very glad i decided to wait , cant wait till friday

My daughter still uses mine. She'll be getting my 4S on Friday when I get my 5. I'm keeping the 4 as a world phone (unlocked GSM).

Still on my original i4, and it's still has the original spigen shield on the front and back. Been naked for two years and loving it lol. However this time around I bought an otterbox :p

I do — and actually, it's the first day of the launch in Thailand ... which was Sep 30, 2010. It took quite a while to get there ...

And yeah, I'm going to upgrade to iPhone 5 right away. I'm in the states now as well, so hopefully I can get it on the launch day. :)

Still use mine. Ordered at 3am EST through Verizon so i have only had it since feb of 2011. still works good though it does get a little sluggish, and the volume seems to be quieter out of the speakers, and the camera window has scratches all over (thank goodness for sapphire on the 5 - brilliant). but mine did fly off the roof of my car once and since then i've treated it like a red-headed stepchild.

Still have my launch day phone, ever since the accidental day early delivery.:p Only problems are a few scratches on the camera lens. Caseless most of those two years and zero problems.

Origina iPhone 4 and I for one don't see how people say this upgrade is unimpressive. Literally every aspect of the iPhone 4 is improved or upgraded.

Better antenna (yes, I still find myself holding my phone wrong)
Better camera (front and back)
Helluva lot faster processor and graphics
Larger screen
Native Siri capabilities
Better mic/call quality
All iOS features are available

Granted, there are hardware things that they are leaving out (NFC), but aside from NFC, I can't name a single thing they're doing wrong. Unless you absolutely want NFC and/or absolutely hate the new design, I don't see why you wouldn't upgrade.

iPhone 5S or whatever it's called is almost certainly going to look the same with minor internal improvements (maybe NFC), just a new software feature. At least that's what I'm expecting.

EDIT: I will say this about my iPhone 4.. no real sluggishness (it's jailbroken, but I've restored for a couple weeks to go back vanilla and no sluggishness then either), and it holds a charge as well as it ever has. I don't take precaution and let it die once a week or anything either. But as far as anything being wrong it, there's very little. Mostly scratches on the antenna and back of the phone. Otherwise, it's every bit as good as it was when I bought it, IMO.

Though you would not know it from this site, there are millions that still use it. and millions for with the 3 or 3g, that are just fine.

I do. Received the 4 the day before launch. Definitely ready for an upgrade, though the phone is still performing flawlessly.

Launch 4 works awesome. I did have to replace the battery a few months ago so now it's awesome again. Thanks to it being a launch 4 it still has normal (but tiny) screws and not the newer pentalobe weird ones so easy to do battery swap. Best $15 I ever spent.
I'm getting a 5, but after playing with iOS 6 and it's AWEFUL maps I might hold off on it.

not actually my launch day iphone 4... as i had it replaced once for the wifi connection issue....

hubby's 4 is the original launch day...

both are being replaced... mine will be here friday... his... ordered minutes later... will be here by oct 5th....

technically have a day-before-launch-day iPhone 4... was pleasantly surprised it arrived a day early.. I also did not have a 3GS ... but I did have a 3G.. and of course original... all launch-day... so i've more or less been a 2 year-er, except original to 3G ... just because I couldnt stand the interference the original made on stuff around me. Sadly thanks to att "premier" screwing up my order... this will be my first non-launch day iPhone.. unless I decide to do the line thing... if I do it will be at verizon.

But I think waiting the full 2 years makes the most sense.

typing this with my launch iPhone 4. still works great. I was even hesitant about getting the 5, but, actually my wife helped convince me. :)
so now the trusty 4 is for sale and hopefully my Best Buy preorder comes in on Friday (decided too late to order through Apple).

Still have mine from (before) launch day. I'd be selling it now if I hadn't tripped both water indicators a year ago (without doing any other damage). It'll serve as a backup once my 5 arrives on Friday.

im still on my launch 4...home button is dying but a little wd40 is keeping it on life support till friday

I am still using my launch day iPhone 4 that showed up a day early.

I have had it in a Otterbox since they became available for it. It looks like new. It still holds a charge good. I did have to replace the home button last month.

After replacing the home button it feels like a new iPhone.

I went from the original iPhone to the iPhone 4 and Friday I should receive my preorder iPhone 5.
