Which series/size/color/price?I still wear and rotate through a small set of traditional watches. I have an Apple Watch (I'm trying to sell) and have worn it occasionally in the aforementioned rotation. But I mostly wore it (AW) for fitness tracking. I largely prefer a traditional watch over smart watches.
Apple Watch Series 2, 42mm Edit: Soldhttps://forums.macrumors.com/threads/apple-watch-series-2-42mm.2188459/Which series/size/color/price?
What are some traditional watch brands that you own/wear?
I have 3 different Skagen watches and 1 Fiodh Whisky Watch (wearing today) that I got from a Kickstarter project. What are some traditional watch brands that you own/wear?
Smart watches caused big price drop in the mechanical & automatic watches market. Its fun to change the face of your watch everyday with smart watches.
Oh Nice! Skagen makes some nice watches!I have 3 different Skagen watches and 1 Fiodh Whisky Watch (wearing today) that I got from a Kickstarter project.
No, they didn't.
If you follow such things, traditional high end watch brands such as Omega, Rolex, have held their price, as have the mid range watches - Citizen, Seiko, Skagen, and so on.
I know this source is not very reliable but i've seen it all over years in Australia , UAE and other countries.
The Rado i bought is usually very expensive but i bought at very reasonable price. Also bought CK and other well known brands.
People are selling up normal watches in favour smart one what does this tell you?
Sorry posted wrong link. Edited.
That is an opinion, rather than a fact.
Besides, I don't know where you bought your watch, whether it was an authorised outlet, or a place that - on account of its location (such as some of the Middle Eastern or Emirates outlets, or the Canary Islands years ago) offers significant reductions in price because region is designated a tax free zone.
At an authorised dealer, a legitimate outlet, for selling branded watches, (authentic watches, not well made fakes), you will find that prices have remained steady.
Now, in the used market, even from authorised dealers, yes, it is possible to obtain a genuine - authentic - branded watch at a price that is a lot less the what you might have had to pay for that time piece when it was originally sold as new.
Bought my watch from mall of Dubai a genuine 200% authorized seller.
Pray tell, just exactly how does a "200%" authorised seller (or vendor) differ from a "100%" (which is usually more than adequate) authorised seller or vendor?
Nevertheless, I assume that many products sold in Dubai are tax-free.
Incomes for many who work there certainly are.
Tax free or not free Mall of Dubai is one of the most expensive shopping malls in the world.
The purchase was unexpected but the deal was excellent. When i showed my brother the watch he said i should've brought him one too.
Overall auto watches will become cheaper and cheaper just like other items thanks to apple, Samsung and others.
Glad you have enjoyed your purchase.
However, your posts give the impression that the attractive price - rather the acquisition of the watch itself - was what gave rise to the greatest pleasure for you.
I doubt it; while I think that smart watches are a fashionable and passing fad, - and have been most profitable for companies such as Apple who have produced them - I will say good luck to those who like them.
However, there are others - such as myself - who admire the craftsmanship of a good and well made time piece - who would never consider the transient appeal of smart watches.
Anyway, I rather like my ten year old Omega Deville, and wear it daily.
Oh Nice! Skagen makes some nice watches!
I have a few Deep Blue, some fossils, armand basi, and a few oniss watches - trying to sell most of them since i really only wear one of my fossil watches and the deep blue
Oh that would have been easier for you back then.I got it when I visited the Soviet Union.
Yeah - The watch I am trying to get currently is one of these: https://www.jared.com/en/jaredstore...0Ut5RQFrC9WnZpTlqxRoCzTUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.dsAgreed; Skagen makes some very nice watches - I had one and gave it to my brother as a gift - very reliable, elegant and beautifully made.
Those are nice watches as well! I have seen a guy on a facebook group with a Vostok that I have fallen in love with every time I see it.I alternate between a couple Vostok Amfibias and Komandirskies. Never had any interest in a watch with a battery.
Oh I love that design. I’m a citizen fan. I only buy this brand.Yeah - The watch I am trying to get currently is one of these: https://www.jared.com/en/jaredstore/citizen-mens-watch-blue-angels-world-chronograph-a-t?cid=PLA-goo-PLA:+Watches+P2+|+New+New+-+Desktop&gclid=CjwKCAjwmZbpBRAGEiwADrmVXt1ayVsCZP5UbRIiNtZ3PBPFnG2MTD3enkJ0Ut5RQFrC9WnZpTlqxRoCzTUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
