Well I'm just happy I have the option to work from home. So I'll be sipping a PBR and "working" while I wait. :)

Watch delivery

if it's like delivery of other Apple products, if someone isn't there to sign for the package, it won't be left.

I've seen some mention of folks that took 4/24 off in other threads. I did too, so I thought it might be fun to have a thread of our own to post to on Friday as to whether it was a good or bad decision. Lol

Going into the launch I scheduled 4/10 off because for one I figured I would be too excited to sleep until launch time, and because I was hopeful that I could schedule a try on appointment that same day, which I did. After my order of course.

Then I scheduled the 24th off so I could suffer in silence while pacing the floor for the delivery truck. Lol Yes, we all know now we have a "shipping window" that I didn't expect going into this launch, but oh well a day off is a day off. Plus I'm sure these forums will be all abuzz that day. That's also what prompted me to go ahead and sign up, I've probably been lurking here for 15 years or more. :D

anytime you order online whether its Apple, eBay, Amazon, Walmart.com, etc they always give a "delivery range" Im HOPING eh PRAYING watches shows up ON the 24th and if they do/are shipped to receive BY the 24th we will receive the tracking number to say it was on its way to be delivered that day.... I ordered 2 of them at 3:05 a.m. I have the 4/24-5/8 range (Im PRAYING its closer to the 24 if not that day)....I'm not going anywhere on the designated delivery day whether that will be the 24th is yet to be seen...since tracking does tell you when it will be delivered taking off from work on the 24th early is jumping the gun and will only result in disappointment if it doesn't show up that day i feel :^) good luck I hope it comes that day for us BOTH !!!

Office Delivery for Me

I'm having my watch delivered to my office, so I'll definitely be here on Friday the 24th, hoping to receive my watch.

I've scheduled an appointment for the "Apple Watch Basics" workshop at my local Apple store on Saturday afternoon. :)

Why would you? You can't buy the watch on the 24th. You can only order it instore to have it shipped to your home when available. But I guess you could have a try on, on the 24th instore. But I assume you'd need to have already booked those in to get one on the 24th.

I have a calculus exam on Friday – if only I could take that off!

Then that would leave me with my physics exam on Saturday and my evolution/biodiversity exam on Monday.

For obvious reasons, I refuse to open the Watch until after all of this has blow over. :)

My mother is getting out of the hospital Wed, and has a Dr. apt. on Fri. I already told the receptionist, if I get a shipping confirmation, we ain't coming.

I love all the humorous responses. Here's hoping we all get our new toy on Friday, whether we are working or not, or having shipped to home or work.

Now that MY watch says "preparing for shipping", I think I made a good decision taking off Friday. Anyway, like the 2nd poster said - a paid day off is a paid day off. I can always have fun on these boards that day while we all lust after those posting their new babies. LOL

Now as for my husbands watch, it still says "processing". I'm not saying a word though because he is blissfully unaware of these forums and all the drama of the watch launch. Now if Friday comes and mine comes and his does not, I may be looking for some advice on how to save my marriage. LOL

Good luck everyone! So glad to know "of" other Apple junkies like us!!!

It would be funny if people who took the day off Friday & don't get the watch that day

With the email of death

Well I'm the OP and I woke up this morning to an alert from UPS that my watch will be delivered in 4/24 between 11:30-3:30, so I think taking the day off was an excellent decision. # Good luck everyone!!!!
