Who took off work on 4/24?

I took a PTO (paid time off) for Friday the 24th. UPS/FedEx deliveries in my area were sketchy lately and delivers towards the end of the day around 5-7pm. I'm usually at work at those times. I'd like to wait this time so I can play with it.
So hopefully mine gets delivered that day (4/24-5/8 window)or my request will be for naught.

Luckily, I'm a kept woman, so no work for me! I'll be hanging out by the front door all day. For some reason, delivery people seem incapable of ringing the doorbell and mostly just rattle the letterbox.
Me too, except, replace paper with iPhone (for tracking), iPad (for gaming) and maybe my MacBook Air for browsing the forums. I'll also have some food to snack on while I wait. I'm taking off from work and school (as well as missing prom) for this watch. I can't wait for Friday to get here.
Haven't read the thread, but based on previous experience I'm sure there are 50% of people that have taken it off and the other 50% of people that feel the need to shame those that do, instead of just accepting that some people like to use their PTOs in different ways than others.
Having said that, I have. The Monday is a holiday here though, so whether it arrives on Friday or not, four-day weekend. Probably would have taken it anyway.

I run my own business from home, so I'm counting Friday as a wash... Assuming it actually shows up on Friday.
Nope getting mine delivered to work. I don't think any product is worth using up a holiday day for. Especially if you have kids! Those days are reserved for family occasions 
Well then, Happy Birthday in advance! How wonderful that must be to get your Apple Watch on your birthday. I'm retired but I can recall taking off on my birthday too!
That said, I'd have to give it serious thought before taking off work for a delivery. Not so sure I'd do that unless it was absolutely necessary.

Where do "they" keep you?
I normally take a day off for new Apple products because its the only way I can be sure someone is home to sign for it, and I don't like having to wait or go and pick it up. But this time I already had the day booked off because I'm going to see Age of Ultron, so now I'm hoping it will come before 12/1pm otherwise I'm not going to be there.
I'm self employed and predominantly work from home.
I do normally like to keep Friday as "My Day" and this week won't be an exception.
Having said that, I have agreed a job for a long time client, so I'll be out between about 11 & 1, but my Wife will be working here all day, so I'm covered in case UPS/UKMail turn up.

excited as hell about it.
Yah, I'll be "working from home" on Friday!
I'm not going to get **** done, I guarantee it.
I'll be checking tracking every few minutes and browsing the forums (and quietly hating on the inevitable "it arrived!" threads) until it arrives.
After that I'll make a meal out of unboxing it, then spend the day playing around with it.
Going for a run!

My parents understand the passion I have in technology and have decided to give me the 24th Of April off from school. They said "You'll be sick that day, right?"
Then on Monday the 27th Of April, I have a student free day so there's another opportunity for me to wait at the door incase the watch comes on the Monday instead.
I said to one of my teachers at school "I may not be here Friday as Apple Watch is launching and it may be at my front door on the 24th"
He said..
"That's cool, I'll email you with any urgent work so keep an eye on your email also"
In the past, every product I've ordered from Apple has come on its estimated delivery date so I'm confident if the date estimate is 24/4, it'll be 24/4.
