I actually work that day but I am having the shipment sent to my dad's house, who will be home all day.
What is that even supposed to mean??I wonder how many will be upset if the watch doesn't arrive?
Also, don't forget the month of July, August and September in case there is Apple Watch 2 by surprise.I'm taking off work from April 24 to May 8. And also the month of June.
This is why I have a "stay at home wife" to sign for my toys.
Having it sent to work. It's too much trouble to take a day off - teachers do twice the work to be gone for a day. And as others have mentioned, the last time I took the day off for an iPhone delivery, the UPS guy didn't show until well after I would have been home, but they show up to school early since they know no one is there after 3.
Just seeing this quote from Ahrendts email memo: "customers who preordered will start receiving deliveries next Friday as planned." That's pretty strong evidence to take the day off for many who received the Apr. 24th-May 8th window.
Not really. Starting doesn't equal everyone getting theirs on Friday.
I thought about doing this, but have heard bad stories with work delivers on launch day. Some people are stuck at work until 7-8pm waiting on the package.
I can't take a free day off - such a shame high school doesn't work that way...
However, I do have one other perk. UPS and FedEx both usually deliver to my home between 11:45 and 12:00.
I drive home for lunch, which is 11:35 to 12:00.
I think I'll be okay.![]()
