Lining Up for iPad Mini

Well, I'm going to recruit a bunch of neighbors. I'll entice them with coffee, donuts and take out my big screen TV. Heck I might even provide lawn chairs. Then we'll all wait for UPS outside my front door, cheer loudly as he or she approaches my house, high fives all around when he leaves, then I'll go inside and play with my new toy :D

AKA, an average day in Ohio.

Nothing says class like a TV and lawn chairs out on the yard.

HaHa if you throw in an ice chest, a few barking dogs, and some screaming babies I might be tempted, oh wait that sounds like my neighborhood already. Are you sure you don't live down the street from me? Kidding :D
 
I believe there will be lines somewhere. They will be on the news shouting, I got my iPad mini. It will be on the 6 o'clock news.

Maybe someone wants their 15 minutes of fame.
 
For both iPads I bought from best buy I walked up to them and picked one up in the morning. There was a line of less than 10 people both times and I live in LA.
 
going to check it out in stores to see if I like it. But no need to line up hours before hand. I think most people in my area will wait to buy them until closer to xmas time.
 
I canceled my pre-order as I didn't want to wait until mid-November.

Maybe I'm naive but I don't anticipate having to "camp out". I'll be at Sam's Club at 8am and see if there are any available. If so I'll buy one. While I think the mini will do fine in sales, I'm not worried about not being able to get one on Friday. Just a gut feeling.
 
I don't wait in line for anything. I'll buy it when I get around to it and when it's convenient for me. For those who do wait in the lines....have fun! :cool:

I pre ordered my ipad mini. Its the white one though so I will have to wait for it a week after release. I did pick up a new ipad 3 at best buy a couple of weeks ago though. I am thinking about going in friday and checking about exchanging it for an ipad 4.

I think it will be the same since the very first iPad... not selling out until weekend ends.

I'd imagine I can walk in after work on Friday, with no line, and pick up a mini.
 
The lines here in Hamburg were insane for the launch of iPhone 5 and quite long for iPad 3 as well.
But this is the iPad Mini, and only the WiFi version, and probably only the black version, and no retina, so I would be quite surprised if you have to queue at all.

Never mind I guess I misread it. The mobile stores were mentioned not the main stores.

idk if there are really shortages on the 16gb white, but they did sellout in around 10-15mins when it went live.

So if you are looking for a 16gb white and did not pre-order I'd stand in line, good thing I pre-ordered lol.

I stood in line for the ipad 2 for 4 hours, pre-ordered the 3, had blemishes on it, good thing that evening when I went back they still had stock! I was shocked! considering how quickly the 2 sold out.
