iPad mini Who will be lining up for the iPad mini?

Spungoflex, Today is Thursday, Are they going to let people sleep in the mall. or is it Friday already where you are?

I swear, Apple owns this place. They tell everyone when and where something is going to happen and they all do what they say. i.e. no sales until Friday, open at 8 AM, Have lines ready.

Apple runs this S---T.
 
On Sept 21st I walked into Apple store in Orlando area at 2pm and still got 32GB iPhone. They actually had every model except 16Gb white iPhone 5 still at 2pm.

So not concerned. I have a 16Gb mini coming via pre order tomorrow. But my beother's brother in law is from Malaysia and he's going to Malaysia in 10 days. So I may try to stop by and pick him up a 32Gb iPad mini black after work tommorow. Not too concerned.

It took over a day for preorder of iPad mini black to sell out.

Usually preorders sell out same day or even same morning.

Either they have a lot of supply or not everyone wants or needs an iPad mini. I think it's a combination of both. Since many would have preferred A6/retina in the mini with 1GB RAM.

Maybe early adopters get screwed by March 2013? Who knows.

Made up my mind. No iPad mini for now. I just got my ipad 3 in the mail today and love it. It's actually my first tablet I plan on keeping so I'm thinking a lot about this.

I'll need to see one in person to decide once and for all.

Which store did you go to in Orlando? I am thinking about heading to FL Mall tomorrow morning around 7am.

Maybe so but most people get the black so it's no biggie. I'm sure that'll be easy to get a hold of on launch day.

That's just one store. I don't think lines are going to be found in most places. The demand just ain't there.

My guess is that the uptick is going to be slow on demand for this, because a lot of people haven't started their Holiday shopping yet... But after Black Friday, I'll bet the Minis start flying off the shelves like hotcakes.
 
Both the Walmart and Target in Fort Walton Bch (32547) are not going to have it tomorrow. Walmart said maybe a different store in the region and Target said that they were told their order slipped.

I must live out in the woods or something.

I would be willing to bet the people you talked to just didn't know what the hell they were talking about.

I plan to call again tomorrow but they both sounded on point like they knew. But still I will check again tomorrow morning.

I'll also call the other ones in the different Zip codes around here to plan b it.

Altamonte store. They always seem to have stock even for iPhone 5 10pm reservations.
 
I'm at the 5th avenue Apple store in NYC there's about less than 20 people in line! They'll open up around 10 am tomorrow due to the weather!
