As a sporting nation, Australia is awesome. Sport is a way of life for you guys, you do well in most sports. But lady come on? Its England all the way! p.s. we got the Ashes too remember? ;)

I'm kind of the exception to the rule, I actually care very little for sport so you're charming Ashes taunt really didn't have the desired effect. Regardless I can't pass up the opportunity to ask - How many years did it take for you to get them back again? ;)
 
Hilarious, people are actually voting for the USA! In that case, I vote for Antarctica to take it all. :rolleyes: :cool:

I'll be cheering for Holland, England, France, and I'll pick another favorite after a few games. But in general I just love the game so I don't really care who wins. :)

They have better commentary than ESPN, but don't be surprised if a "3D" ad pops out of the field while somebody is trying to score (it's sooo annoying :mad: ). The latin american ESPN is pretty good actually, you get commentary from Argentines, and it's fun 'cause they speak funny :p

I'm sticking with the South American block of teams, except for Paraguay. To narrow it to one, I picked Brazil, (they're loaded) though there are several teams this year who could take it all. I do want to see a lot of England and will pull for them tomorrow against Paraguay and it was great to see Ecuador pull off a win today. Would also like to see the following teams advance: Germany, (Argentina, Netherlands, Ivory Coast) :though only two of these will advance, U.S.A., Ghana, Chezch Rep., and Australia. It should be an awesome tournament.
 
I voted Germany just because I'm a supporter. They won't though. Brazil probably.
I'd like to see England get through to the final.. can't wait for tomorrow morning (US time). I haven't seen most of the England squad play yet. Rooney isn't playing this one though is he? I've never seen him play.
 
How did the USA get so many votes? This competition is for soccer ladies & gents :D

Only a couple of hours until the England game, can't wait, I'm feeling the nerves :eek:

Jeebus, Ingerland can't win this! The Aussies have a far better chance.

If I was being honest, I'd vote Brasil. If I was putting down a small wager, I'd pick the USA. If I was going with my heart, USA.

2-1, I vote USA for this poll.

Little Trinidad-Tobago is trying its best to hold off the onslaught of Swedish shots on goal. So far, they're at 0-0. Even a tie with Sweden would be great for this team's first World Cup appearance.
P.S. Hislop is earning his keep, so far.

Edit: Final Trinidad 0 Sweden 0. Trinidad's Hislop with 7 saves on 25 shots on goal. I think this is great. Congrats to this little country who are all excited because they registered their first point in a World Cup.

Indeed...Hislop earned that keep...glad to see they tied it...the rest of the team was playing bad in the 1st half...Sweden did not like that:)

Amazing game, I truly enjoyed watching that one! I may have found my underdog team to cheer for along with my other favorites! Well, at least until the Round of 16... ;)
 
England is in second place in the voting right now. Although they are one of the teams I'm cheering for, they sure won't be going far if today's performance is any indication. Anemic is the word I would use. They'll have to get their stuff together soon, or else expect a quick exit in the Round of 16. :cool:
