Duct tape?!?!  I like DIY solutions, but for that you should be ashamed of yourself.... Can't even manage to get some suitable zip ties. ;) :D :p

It was late at night, and I wasn't about to wait until the next morning to boot her up! I was going to use some crazy thing made out of twine, but I settled on a combination of Intel's mounting bracket and some good ol'-fashioned DT.

Personally I desperately want a new Mac Pro, my 2006 2.66 has been nothing but a headache (I miss the old PowerPC days when this crap didn't happen as often). I have had countless part replacements (logic board, power supply, super drive, MULTIPLE graphics cards, you name it....) and Apple promises every time that I will get a replacement computer.

I'm going to be out of warranty by the middle of this year and I still haven't gotten a replacement. I'm pretty disappointed with the service I've had so far on this machine. My lowly Macbook has been more reliable.

Ironically I hope that just one more thing goes wrong with it before June because I have names and numbers this time of people higher up the chain at Applecare and they promised me a replacement the next time something happens.

Anyone know how to kill a mac pro? haha.

I can think of a host of different ways, though none of them moral :D

If one were to use a commercially available Tazer on the logic board, it wouldn't leave visible damage if you did it in the right place.

Assuming you are serious about committing to something like this, my guess is that there are a few people on here who could be pretty creative.
