I will be buying the iPhone 8 or X. And also buying 7S for the wife
Why getting her the 7S and not the 8?
She only wants the 7S...
Yep I'm in, this will be the first phone I ever preorder I'll be preordering @ 3am when it's a go, but with all the hype and the shortage of iPhone 8's probably it will be like a month or so before it would get in my hand. Just not sure if I should go thru carrier (Verizon) or apple
Go through Apple. Quicker. Been ore ordering since the 3GS.
I have AT&T but always preorder through apple on ore order night.
So Apple is the way to go? Faster you think
Go SIM-FREE. All the way.
Won't be truly available until December at best.
If the physical design changes.
If the fugly camera bump goes away.
If I like how it looks.
I have no interest in specs as long as the device can make calls, send messages, browse the web and send email.
No. Happy with my new 6s. I have little interest in physical changes.
Design seems to address every major size/portability problem I've had with the current phones: the small one is too small to see comfortably, and the large one is too large to carry comfortably. Presumably the 8 will have the same size screen (or bigger) than the plus, be wider, and be just a bit larger than the normal 7/6. Seems like a win. The only thing that concerns me is the purported extra width. Weight? We don't know yet.

And you have a headphone jack.

Maybe... biggest reason is the OLED display. Will allow smaller bezels.
Sure, lots of people will buy it.
Here is the list of specs and features. See which ones work for you;
Nope I'll be selling my 7 soon and buying an s8. Can't wait to be back with a decent phone.
+ a touch id
Because the latest rumors indicate that touch id maybe replaced with facial recognition in new iPhone 8
Definitely getting it. My 6+ has been great, but it's time for something new.
Good luck with the transition to your S8. I plan upgrading in the Fall to the new 'iPhone 8.' After three years of the same design, any physical changes are welcomed for me. But I will say, even when you move to the S8, both Phones are "Decent" and have distinct differences. It's just a matter of what someone appreciates in those differences that matters. Either way, Samsung and Apple make decent phones, no matter which way someone spins it.
I'll be purchasing the next iPhone, but I doubt it will be an 8. Most likely there will be 3 screen sizes under the 7S - 7S (?), 7S PLUS, and 7S.
I get "S" phones. It's been my policy since I got my first iPhone in middle school and I'm not going to change anytime soon. The 8 sounds like it may be an experimental disaster (from my point of view). I'm getting the 7S if there is one.
Yeah I came from galaxy's this is my first iphone
I came from the Galaxy line as well. So I can understand your first iPhone is just not on par with what you were expecting or how I OS is a completely different experience on its own. But I'm interested to see what the Note 8 brings this August.
For me it depends on the price. If the 8 has a new design and no camera bump that would be nice. If the 7s looks like the 7 and the 8 costs $1,000 then I will keep my 7 and SE. I still use a 5s for work and it is still chugging along pretty well. I personally just cannot spend that much on a phone. However until Apple releases the prices on their new line up of phones I will wait patiently. If they release an 8 for the same price of the 7's I would probably bite. My guess though is if they do release a 7s and an 8 then the 8 will be the premium phone and most likely price me out of buying it.
I'm not getting the 8. I have a 7 plus, and I'm pretty happy with it.
I tried the Google Pixel for 2 weeks recently. Nope. Easy decision: didn't like it.
Ill buy it @ launch like I have every year since the 5s. For me personally I like having the newest hardware with the latest specs. I know for a lot of people that's silly.
