Yep I'm in, this will be the first phone I ever preorder I'll be preordering @ 3am when it's a go, but with all the hype and the shortage of iPhone 8's probably it will be like a month or so before it would get in my hand. Just not sure if I should go thru carrier (Verizon) or apple

Go SIM-FREE. All the way.

Won't be truly available until December at best.

If the physical design changes.

If the fugly camera bump goes away.

If I like how it looks.

Then yes.

Otherwise no.

I have no interest in specs as long as the device can make calls, send messages, browse the web and send email.

Design seems to address every major size/portability problem I've had with the current phones: the small one is too small to see comfortably, and the large one is too large to carry comfortably. Presumably the 8 will have the same size screen (or bigger) than the plus, be wider, and be just a bit larger than the normal 7/6. Seems like a win. The only thing that concerns me is the purported extra width. Weight? We don't know yet.

No. Happy with my new 6s. I have little interest in physical changes.

And you have a headphone jack.

Nope I'll be selling my 7 soon and buying an s8. Can't wait to be back with a decent phone.

Good luck with the transition to your S8. I plan upgrading in the Fall to the new 'iPhone 8.' After three years of the same design, any physical changes are welcomed for me. But I will say, even when you move to the S8, both Phones are "Decent" and have distinct differences. It's just a matter of what someone appreciates in those differences that matters. Either way, Samsung and Apple make decent phones, no matter which way someone spins it.

Nope.

I get "S" phones. It's been my policy since I got my first iPhone in middle school and I'm not going to change anytime soon. The 8 sounds like it may be an experimental disaster (from my point of view). I'm getting the 7S if there is one.

I came from the Galaxy line as well. So I can understand your first iPhone is just not on par with what you were expecting or how I OS is a completely different experience on its own. But I'm interested to see what the Note 8 brings this August.

For me it depends on the price. If the 8 has a new design and no camera bump that would be nice. If the 7s looks like the 7 and the 8 costs $1,000 then I will keep my 7 and SE. I still use a 5s for work and it is still chugging along pretty well. I personally just cannot spend that much on a phone. However until Apple releases the prices on their new line up of phones I will wait patiently. If they release an 8 for the same price of the 7's I would probably bite. My guess though is if they do release a 7s and an 8 then the 8 will be the premium phone and most likely price me out of buying it.

Ill buy it @ launch like I have every year since the 5s. For me personally I like having the newest hardware with the latest specs. I know for a lot of people that's silly.
