I'm staying with my SE :) :p:)

It's lot of other Apple-stuff that I will upgrade before changing phone.

New iMac later this year maybe or early next.
Start to want a Watch 2 or wait for 3 if it comes this year ?
Want a newer iPad then my Air 2 also. Biggest Pro I think....how soon?

I don't know.
I have a 6s and I don't want to spend too much on the new iPhone so if iPhone 8 will cost more than $1000 I won't buy it.
Since my 6s is still a great phone the only model I could buy is the 7s+ to switch to the bigger display and have the dual camera. But I'm not sure about that, iPhone 8 would have the bigger display without a bigger chassis, I may regret buying the 7s+

I'm on the Apple Upgrade Programme here in the UK but not sure of what device we will be eligible for the upgrade iPhone 7s or iPhone 8. Any ideas?

Question is what will the iPhone 8 do better than the 7s, probably not much if anything at all.

I think with the iPhone 8 your paying the premium more mainly for the bezeless design & OLED screen that will still be 1080p not QHD.

Also storage options which will only start at 128GB if rumours are true hence another reason to bump up the price.

One thing that concerns me about OLED displays is the dreaded burn in, I've had OLED displays in the past and all of them have suffered from either image retention or burn in as the case of my Nexus 6 that suffered badly from burn in.

If i decide to buy this year iPhone i will go for the 7s.

KGI reported a while back that it will have 521 PPI (or five twenty-something), along with stating the specific resolution, so pretty much QHD. Unless he's wrong of course, but I'm confident it will have a higher resolution. I think they'd want to go all out to compete with the latest Android phones. They're already doing that by including OLED so they might as well.

Pretty sure you can pick whichever you want as you will be essentially starting a new contract and closing the old one.

If the rumored price of $1000+ is true then nope. I have a 6s+ that im pretty content with. As much as I would love a design change I cant see me shelling out that kind of money for a phone when the one I have now works perfectly.

I'm sure I will but probably not day 1. Depends upon features cost and what I will get from my 6s.

If I do something stupid this fall, like break my phone. Lose it. Or have it stolen. Then likely. But I have been handing down my 2 year old phones to people, including last fall with my 6. Just bought 2 new SE models for some others I have been handing down phones to. So both get better phones than what they had. NEW phones instead of hand me downs. And I save money by keeping my 7+ for at least year.

She only wants the 7S...
Well you better get her something else to make up for the fact that you bought her the cheaper phone and bought yourself the better phone. JMO.

I can't believe how many people say there's "no doubt" that they will be buying a product that hasn't even been revealed yet. Sometimes I feel like this is why Apple doesn't even have to try to be innovative anymore.
They have built brand loyalty and they built it in large part through excellent customer service.

seems APPLE is the new Harley Motorcycle
Or Louis Vuitton purse.

I really don't like the idea of Touch ID on the back, if that happens, I'll pass on the 8 also and buy a 7 perhaps to see what the following year brings.

If actually facial, I'll make a call at the time.

But rear Touch ID is a hard red line for me.

I will buy it because I need another phone in the family. My 7 that I bought a week ago (not as an upgrade or anything, but because I had no phone for 6 months) will go to my father to replace his 5s, I will take the new one when it comes.

Interesting. I'll wait and see. I use my iPhones for as long as possible before upgrading. Usually lack of new IOS support is the trigger to upgrade. I'm still using the 5S. If I do get the 8 it'll used for a long while so that might be it's appeal. Still finding hard to believe that Apple will release a 7S and an 8 at the same time.

I'm ready to upgrade from my iPhone 6.

However, pricing for Apple products have gotten ridiculous over here, so I will wait
and see.

Wow how did you get your battery to last so long? We traded mine in toward the SE for my daughter because she was having problems with my hand-me-down 5s battery running down too fast and not holding a charge for very long. There were other reasons we traded it for a little discount on the SE but that was the main one.
