Awe. Let me guess: the 6S guys are still bitter about SE. I mean, you guys have 3D Touch and a few more things and we have one of the most important things: 2-3 hours of EXTRA battery life.

So, for me:

2-3 hours extra battery life > those extra features
I am not bitter about the SE at all. I love my 6s, and can deal with the crappy battery that has been the down fall of every iPhone for the last 4 years. I know the SE's battery life is better, but I will take a bigger phone all day long over battery battery in a small phone. But in no way am I bitter about the SE. If that works for you, get it. There is just no need to trash the 6s to make yourself feel better about the SE.

[...] Sure the design might be good, but you don't bring the same design back in tech 4 years later and call it a new phone. Come on that is just crazy. [...]

I don't give a rat's @ss about "design." I care about size, and the SE is the size I want. I care about build quality and specs, and the SE has great hardware and I expect excellent build quality. Maybe for some folks a phone is a fashion statement, but not for me.

I say to Apple: Keep making high-quality products that do the job, and you'll keep me as a customer. Make them bum-ugly if you like. I don't care one tiny bit. In fact, if I had Tim Cook's job, I would have the company design the world's ugliest phone, with the absolute best technology available and the highest possible quality standards (if it's possible to have higher quality than they do now) just to prove that quality and function are what matters, not what it looks like.

Your right the design is not everything. I am just the type of person that likes something new and fresh. Had the iPhone 6 and 6+ been the same design as the iPhone 5 just bigger, I would have still bought it. It just would not have been my favorite choice by Apple. My love for my 6s is not because of the design (all though I do like it a lot), I really just needed a bigger screen. The 4" screen was just too small for my hands. In the case of the SE, it's a great phone in a smaller package. If that is what you like, then it's an amazing phone.

Maybe. At 60/40 in favor of it but I might change my mind and will only get the S7 edge instead.

I really don't give a damn about design either. What I like with SE isn't about the smaller size or better rear design. It is the VALUE it offers coming from Apple.

I really don't expect a BOON with smaller smartphones again just like QWERTY and clamshells went out of style. I expect a mild resurgence at best. The small phone segment has no future for growth since so many of us have grown accustomed to the benefits of larger displays. But what I do like is Apple emulating Sony's Z Compact series and offering flagship specs in multiple sizes. Like clothes, why should the smallest size be jipped like the medium and larger clothing? What Apple is doing is catering to an overlooked segment of people that many Android OEM's blindly ignored for years.

Like I said, I don't expect "4-"4.3 to be the norm again. I just want Apple to start shutting more people up about phones being either too big or too small. I want more Android OEMs to follow suit. Rather silly to argue about screen sizes and OEMs overlooking certain segments with small hands or whatever. By the next decade, nomore debate about phone size. Expect future flagships to generally come in three different sizes (S/M/L) so everybody can shut up and be happy. Kudos, Apple, for catering to all sizes.

savor you are wrong smaller phones will again rule but they will make them to do more; phablets (brick phones) will go out of fad (most people bought them because manufacturers forced them upon us without many small phone choices plus it was something new) soon and those that want huge screens will mostly be using iPads and what not...mark these words in couple of years or so

It reminds me when phones were getting smaller and smaller in the pre-smartphone days, then got larger and larger. Many companies are now going smaller again (6" > 5.7" for the Nexus 6/6P, 5.5" > 5.3" for the LG G4/G5, etc.). You may be right

I don't think phone screen will get below 4.5 inches again. In Apple's case they need to reduce the bezels and be done with it. If the iPhone 6s has smaller bezels it would be amazing.

I am buying an iPhone SE to support companies like Apple to start a trend towards covering all sizes. Not just focus on small phones or one specific size but for ALL sizes. This is Apple teaching Android OEMs what they have been blindly missing on by jipping their mini versions with weaker specs. This what the Z1 Compact introduced back in early 2014 of small screens with flagship specs and very little compromises. Only Sony got the memo but they aren't a major player in the mobile industry. So Apple has to do it for others to take notice and should eventually copy it.

Small - "4-"4.3

Medium - "4.7-"5.2

Large - Above "5.5

Funny. I plan to buy both Apple and Samsung this year. Two companies I don't actually worship. Two bitter rivals. Opposite spectrums in screen display ("4 & "5.5). Apple is actually the cheaper device. S7 edge is the more smaller phone than the 6 Plus series. I will switch sims between SE and S7e every other week for work since they use nano-sims. With a possible five phones in rotation at my house doing certain things, I should have all three major platforms (Android, iOS, WP) and sizes ("4, "5, "5.5) covered.

The problem of larger phones for me is not the bezel but the height of the screen though. The width of the 6/6S is okay.

At the moment I have a Nexus 6P, but been itching in going back to smaller phone. Atm i'm able to get a 6s 64GB for $550, but at the same time I feel tempted in getting an SE (same price)
yelp!

Yeah I think Apple and every other phone maker will have to make a S/M/L phone forever now. I don't think they can go back to just small phones. My hands and I know many others just don't fit on a small screen like that.

HA! In a decade the phone will be the size of your fingernail and will project the screen image directly onto your retina so it occupies your entire field of vision. Sort of like VR headsets, but will look like those little rear-view mirrors that cyclists wear.

They really all should!

It makes great sense as these things are tools and the correct tool varies depending upon the person and the job in question.

Making only "big phones" would make as much as sense as only making "big screwdrivers".
Sometimes you just need or prefer a smaller tool.

I very much appreciate Apple's decision to produce a smaller and powerful phone.
Nevertheless I am satisfied with my 5S. It is quite capable of doing what I need.

I was sort of in that camp with the 5s until...

Apple Pay & Better Camera

Better camera is something that I literally can't get enough of. That is something that definitely drives me to upgrade (within reason - Never going to a Plus model)

I will say that the 6s/SE camera has gotten to such a great place of quality that I can see myself being happy with the SE for multiple years if there's no other small phone anywhere on the horizon.

I absolutely understand your arguments. My case is a little bit different as I almost never use the camera, like Apple Pay. Calls, SMS, Internet, e-mails and some apps (mainly banking etc.).

I will probably get the SE. Currently have a 6s for daily driver and hung onto my 6 to use an alternate / backup phone and have another line associated with it. The SE is the perfect replacement for the 6, will trade it in at the Apple store. Will be nice to have a smaller phone handy when I feel like using it. LTE Advanced is the only issue causing me hesitation since carrier aggregation is an important feature to have. Yet Verizon advertises the SE as being "XLTE ready"? Maybe this just means Band 4 compatible to take advantage of AWS. If it's a problem I'll just use the 6s in those situations.

Yeah it would be a huge mistake to only go big or only go small. You limit your market, and it's just does not make sense. Like you said, people use their phones for different things. Don't limit people by the size.

The Rose Gold iPhone SE makes me hungry because it reminds me of a strawberry cake with whipped cream on top.

Weird, but true. I'm going to the market now to look for some cake.

Just ordered an iPhone se rosa gold 16gb to my wife and one iphone se space grey 16gb to me. I live in Denmark, approx wait time to receive it is 5. April. I am waiting like a kid

I hope 16gb would suffice. I understand that the Apple products on our beloved continent are really pricey and it sucks.

Ha, you got that right. People just get attached to their purchases. I might get the SE just to check it out. But I'm not giving up my 6s.
