Who's going to an Apple Tiger Release?

I just haven't had that privilege yet. Really hoping that one or two that have indicated the possibility will show up next Friday.
 
Aren't there a lot of members from the boston area thou? I am one of them but i happen to be going to Cambridgeside instead of chesnut hill (easier for me to get to)
 
If Tiger is released at 6 then how does it work with the doorprizes? Do they give them away at 6:00 and after that or starting earlier? And will the PBs and iPods be door prizes or drawings?

Hehe, I'll attempt to remember that 🙂 I wonder if there'll be computers available? If so, I'll be on iChat under my MR s/n. Many of my friends are anti-Mac 😱 and the ones who do like Macs always show a bit of an interest to come to these type of things...but never seem to make it.

I'd assume on the part of the PBs, they'd definitely be drawings...I can't imagine them giving away a PB as doorprizes...tho it would be nice!
 
I hope they dont give away the prizes at 6 cause I will not be getting there untill 8:30.

I would love to win that powerbook though.
 
Is anyone going to the Apple Store in Short Hills, NJ? I preordered a Family Pack from Amazon, but I've never been to a Mac OS X release and would really like to go. It would be great to meet up with some forum members as well. Thanks.

If they had something big here in Australia then I'd think about it but I'm meant to be going to an ex-girlfriend's 21st so maybe I'll just wait until 10.5 before I galavant off to the local Apple store - that's assuming we have them by then. 🙄

I'm not really sure how many Boston area members belong to MacRumors. I have ask before, it could just be that they are shy. May this time it will work.

Sorry i have been busy the last few days, gotta get my final papers in

I'm probably still gonna go to the London one.. I have been there for the last two sundays trying to get my iBook fixed, and they have finally taken it in for repair yesterday (the week before it didn't replicate the problem).. Anyhow, this means I will not apparently have any Mac to install tiger on for 10-15 working days.. 🙁 Anyone have any idea how long this stuff usually takes? Its a new top case.. Aww, I am depressed again now.. 😀
 
I know that some friends of mine and I are going to be heading to the Woodfield Mall Apple Store. Lucky for me since I get out of class early on Friday, so I'm heading home and then zipping over to the Apple Store.

I thought they said that the repairs should take around 3 days? Back in the day when my old PB was acting up, it took about 3 days...and then 3 days...and then 3 days...(my computer must've been an Apple lemon...had to be sent away 3 times in a week)
 
Sadly, Copenhagen doesn't have an Apple Store, so I'm going to have to be content with the local "Apple Center," which is doing a demonstration of Tiger the night of the 29th (I do have it on order for delivery to the States, though). I won't be back in the States until the 21st, and won't have access to my packed-up Power Mac until a couple weeks after that, so I'm going to have to be pretty sad while everyone else gets to play around with their new Tiger toys... 🙁

i ask this because i was thinking go to the store at 1:00 am (29th of april), to be the first in line 😀 😛 🙄

Lucky Me, I have school off all day friday, so I will be at the apple store in the houston galleria. There are never that much people there,I am hoping that it won't be that crowded.

Towson for me. Hopefully my girlfriend will be able to come too. Be there at 5 or so, is it really gonna be THAT PACKED like iGary is talking about? x.x' I think I'd faint if I won a PB or iPod. That PB would be really sweet. OSX is horrible on here. x.x

Launched at 6 pm like everywhere else mate. I'm thinking of turning up in the afternoon at some point, but I have tiger pre-ordered and depends on what time it gets delivered IF it gets delivered on friday.
 
I might be going now - we'll see. I'm hoping that they'll have the new iMacs preloaded with Tiger and I'll get the 10% off discount that they've made available in the past....

Although, I won't go to the Chicago store, most likely the Knox store in Indianapolis. Chicago will be a mad house...

Is anyone else planning on going to the Charlotte store? I thought about Atlanta but figured it would be a madhouse.

I'll be there as well, hopefully. I'm going to the Future Business Leaders Convention at the Hyatt Regency (placed 2nd in Computer Concepts in SoCal, so I moved onto State. This time I'm doing Computer Concepts and Networking...should be interesting), so if I can sneak out I may stop by. I'll be the teenager in a busniess suit and most likly reading an AP Biology study handbook (1.5 weeks til the test!)
