otter-boy said:A friend of mine called the local Apple Store here in Austin, and they said that there will be one powerbook and one iPod given away per store. People can register for them Friday night, and the drawing will be held the next week (you don't have to be there for the drawing. they will notify you if you win).
Hope that clears some things up.
I hope to see some of y'all in Austin.
fedora said:they will close, quote from apple site;
"Tiger World Premiere Update,
The store will be closed from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm on April 29th to prepare for the Tiger World Premiere event. During the event, the Genius Bar will be closed for regular business but open for checkout. Mac Geniuses will still be available to assist you. If you need help finding a Mac Genius, please ask"

iLaw said:My Tiger is out for delivery (no one is at home though, sheeeeet) but if I wasn't sane I would go to the London store.

I wonder if there'll be a lot of press there tonight? What time is everyone planning to get there? I'm thinking maybe 2-3ish..

asif786 said:They use netboot - so they only have to install the image on one xServe and it will be put accross on all of the computers when they restart. (i think)
iQ_ said:They leave the computers on all night. Then cupertino just remote accesses them and refreshes using a disk image. They've updated the image to include 10.4 now. It's been on all the machines all day.
