I know that some friends of mine and I are going to be heading to the Woodfield Mall Apple Store. Lucky for me since I get out of class early on Friday, so I'm heading home and then zipping over to the Apple Store.
Perhaps I'll see you there. I've never been to a release party before, and this sounds fun. I'll look for the group logged in to MacRumors on the iMacs...

Edit: I'll definitely be there, perhaps with a kid or two in tow whilst the wife does some other shopping. I'm pumped about this, now I just have to avoid purchasing another copy of Tiger since I don't have mine yet...

Maybe I'll win that PowerBook!

Yeah. Tiger's been on regent street's computers all day. Got there and thought i was using 10.3.8 till i realised that there was an RSS button on safari. Then i started going nuts with the dashboard widgets-etc. I was amazed! Especially since i thought Cupertino would have held out till tonight to update their images.

Regent St was pretty boring aside from initially walking in and being applauded. There wasn't much going on (and the Macs had had it on them all day so you could play with Tiger earlier). The only give away was a scratch card (that's also what has the one winning iPod/Powerbook on it). The theatre was still playing iPod adverts and Made on a Mac series at 6.30 so I must confess to leaving and coming home to install...

Yea, at the chestnut hill one, it was boring..... nuthing exciting alot of people went in to get tiger and the walked out....
and what pissed me off the most was i was gonna go on safari and check out MR, and one of the emploies told me to get off this site!!! I couldn't take it so i left and went to cheese cake factory and got take out :p

That's funny, I can't believe it! Were they rude about it, or just joking?

They were rude, The guy said something like they don't want the customers to go to these rumor sites because it could hurt sales....

I was in position 300 in line at the Mall of America.

We were in the store at ~6:15pm

The line moved fast, and I bought Tiger, before I got to play with it in the store.

It was fun, and I won a free itunes song, then I drove to the Other apple store less then 15 minutes away, and won a 10% off coupon. The lady 2 spots behind me won the Powerbook at that location :(

Very cool...10% off is better than nothing...I only got iTunes song coupons. But I noticed on the ticket I got, you had to use it that night if it was anything but iTunes songs...same thing w/the 10%??

And man, don't you just hate those situations when you actually wish you had hit just one more red light on the way there...

Oh... I part of the third group of people in line and one of the first six people in the store at 6:00.

I had fun, though I wasn't feel all that social that night.
