32 still seems pretty relevant with the availability of literally everything on the go theses days. Few apps are large enough to hurt your storage even the larger ones. The new photos and video will most likely be the main culprit of space. And as far as ok concerned most of that media should be backed up and saved somewhere else after it is shot anyway

Agreed. Every time i take lots of photos and videos, i upload them all to Google Photos and delete them from my phone. I don't store any music on there since it's all on my iPT.

128 here. My 64 had about 52 gb filled and none of that was photos as I used iCloud Photo Library. I don't think I even had any movies saved to my phone. I keep some music on my phone but not a huge amount. Guess I use a lot of apps.

I think with the camera differences between the 7 and 7+, Apple could have taken a different approach on HDD sizes.

Photos will be a big part for those that use the camera for more than quick shots and the occasional child school function. There will be people that make the camera on these new phones into something more. Those people will need more HDD space.

Don't tell me it doesn't make sense to have different HDD options between the phones. Apple already made that decision for buyers of the jet black.

Maybe they should have gone something along the lines of what I put below?

iPhone 7 - 32, 64, 128
iPhone 7+ - 64, 128, 256

Your configurations are meaningless without pricing. If prices are considered the same then this would be a big fail and much worse than now.

I considered opting for the 32GB because I currently have a 64GB and use far less than 32GB on it. I figure it would be better to not have to worry about space, just in case. I may need to download a bunch of shows or movies while traveling... and with the 7 Plus camera, I might be taking many more pictures. Ended up with the 128GB.

I'm coming from a 64gb 6s plus and I got a 32Gb matte black plus. I'm frantically searching for a 128gb but I know I'll be fine with 32gb it's just the peace of mind honestly. I'll be upgrading next year anyways and I have 50gb of iCloud storage and I use iCloud photo libaray and I never record. My apps is what concern me. I don't play games besides Pokémon go and I stream via Spotify, I only use twitter/Snapchat/instagram. I really have no clue why I'm freaking out. I should be happy I already have my plus and everything

Went from 16GB iPhone 5 to 64GB iPhone 6 because 16GB storage was to low. But I didn't need 64GB so now I have the 32GB iPhone 7. For me that's enough. :)

I will upgrade again next year so I can handle this coming year. ;)

I went from 64GB 6S Plus to 32GB 7 Plus since I don't store anything on my phone. I just checked and I have 25.08GB free storage. That is with all my apps installed. I stream all my music. So 32GB is fine for me.

I thought about paying the up charge to get to 128GB, but honestly, 32GB has been working out for me. I loaded everything on that I did my 6s that was 16GB, and I still have over 50% of the space left. I love it! My iPad will probably be a 128GB model though.

For low users like us, 32GB is a lot. For me, between my iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone, that's 96GB between all devices that I have to store stuff on, and I'm not even using more than half of the storage on either device.

256 for me. I had 64 prior, but wanted to keep all of my music on my phone and cut my data rate down a bit. It was only like $5 more per month for double the storage so I'd say it's worth it.

Don't freak out!! Lol! From what it sounds like, 32GB is good for you and if you're gonna upgrade next year, I think you will be set.

32GB here. Upgrading from 16GB 5s which only has 500MB of space left, so its refreshing that after all my music is stored I still have 6GB left to use. I may go through my music and remove more songs periodically.

My local Apple had a 128 Black in stock so I ordered it up and will be picking it up and returning my 32GB. I just don't want to be watching my space. I'll never fill it up but at least space won't be an issue. My only hope is that my new device has no issues just like my 32GB.

let us know how it goes! fingers crossed!

i'd hold onto your 32 unit in case 128 does have problems, just in case before making that determination

128gb suite me just fine on the 6S Plus, so I'll be doing the same on the 7 Plus. 32gb is too little for me as I take up at least 15gb in music that can't be found on any streaming service.
