I hope the AT&T store I go to has a white 64gb in stock. That would suck to wait hours only to find out they only have 16 and 32gb...

I'm in my room about 4 miles from the Troy, MI store.
I called "dibs" on the first place in line, so I'm cool, right?

Nah, free country. Anyone sitting in line for a cell phone overnight is sad and crazy and I worked at an Apple Store which had it's grand opening during the first iPhone launch. All I can say is...Nope.

Heh, I can understand being bitter about having to be at work super early cause people are frikking crazy sometimes, but don't complain. Job security ;). It's better than no customers and your job going bye bye (ask Borders about that, or Circuit City).

Walnut Street Apple Store

I live in Center City Philadelphia so today I stopped by the Walnut Street Apple Store at around 5:00PM. There was no line which I was surprised about. I wonder if it has started to form. On a side note, I thought that the upkeep of the Walnut Street Apple store was horrible! First off, they had pre-set the iPhone 5 display near the back of the college display so that it was clearly visible... Not very Apple quality like. Also, not all of the display models were updated to iOS 6 - a few were still hung up on the grey set-up screen.

I have waited for all the phones in the past but not this year. I have sold my place in line anywhere from 100-200. On ipads I made over $1000. Good time and still got what I wanted

I am here at AT&T store in Houston, Tx, first one in line. Got my iPad, iPhone, MacBook and hubby to keep me company for next 12hrs.

which one? how many others are there? i just got home and remembered i wanted to drive by the apple store in highland village to see if there was a line but totally forgot, ugh.

Just drove past my local AT&T store here in North Jersey (12:20am est) and no line yet. If only I had AT&T, unfortunately I have to travel 25 minutes further to get to my local Verizon. Not going yet but will try around 5am ish just to get a feel for the line if any.

I'm just curious. What do you hope to gain or learn from this "experience"?

How to better prepare yourself for iPhone 5S release?

Only thing anyone will learn is that next time they will preorder lol.

I did it for iphone 4 launch...NEVER EVER AGAIN.

14 hours of complete suck ass.

Anyone in line at the Ardmore store in Pa? How Long is the line? Can't wait to freeze together!! Doin it for Steve!

I made a post some time earlier saying that they showed the store on the news. The line is around the block. I'm going to an AT&T store out in Delaware County instead.

I'm in line at the Apple store in Salt Lake City Utah. There are about 100 people in line right now with nine hours until the store opens.
