who's in line already?

Just because your iPhone is being shipped to your house doesn't make you any better than the person waiting in line. I just don't like the "I'm better than waiting in a line" 
attitude that some people on the forums are giving off. Both have their upsides. Waiting in line was a pretty good experience. But for the people who can't or don't want to, theres preordering. Everyone wins!

Everyone wins! It's currently 10:22 and I got in line at 9:52. And I'm first in line! The store manager took my pic before going home. And then when the cleaning lady came by it was clear that she thinks I'm crazy. But in a fun way. I think. lol

For the iPhone OG & 3G, I lined up 4 hours before opening.
For the 3GS, I got lucky and only waited in line for about 30mins.
For the 4, a friend and I decided to camp out for the experience. We knew we didn't have to. We knew we could preorder. We knew we could probably get in line around 6am and still get a phone. But we just wanted to give it a try. As a result, I'm in the "never-again" boat. But I don't think any less of the people that do line up, nor are they crazy as some have implied here. There are people that really do enjoy the experience... so I hope you campers are having fun out there!

But doesn't Valley Fair mall close at 9 or 10? And I know the Apple store is inside the mall..how are people waiting in line then?
Agreed. All or most malls open a single Wing and beef up security. It's pretty crazy to see some of the lines
the guy said it would be up to mall management whether to let them stay inside or not.

Drove by 2 Verizon's stores and no one there, went by the apple store on state St and there's about a dozen people there. Seems like people who went through their carriers had a better chance of getting the phone on launch day. I won't hate on people camping out though, its their time/money.
