I am keeping my 6s Plus for another year. It is working fine and I really don't like buying things things I don't 'need' that drop in value. Contentment is key to long term wealth.

On the fence, I love my 6S+, but my battery is only holding 75% of its original charge and my friend managed to produce a hairline crack on my screen near the home button. I'm holding out and seeing on cost. I still place too much value in the headphone jack!

I've only had mine a year so don't really need an upgrade yet. My 6S is still fast and fluid and in most cases keeps up with an iPhone 7. I'll buy a 7S next year when the pricing is more in line with how much the phone is worth.

I made the mistake of upgrading my iPhone 5s when it was working perfectly fine. I'm not doing the same with the 6s. The phone got it's battery replaced with the recall and everything works perfectly still. I feel this phone might go the distance with me since it has no signs of slowing down with the next iOS upgrade.

Well you won't be skipping the 8, because there won't be an 'iPhone 8' this year :p
But regardless, if you're happy with it then that's fine. I think next year might be the obvious year to upgrade since all models will receive the new 'bezeless' design.

Anyone still happy with their 6s and keeping it for another year ? (Skipping the 7, 7s and 8)

Speak up and let us rejoice !

:D

I'm happy with my 6s and see no reason to buy a new phone.

I've got the headphone jack and I can charge the phone while listening to music at the same time.

Only thing that would maybe sway me would be OLED in the 4.7 (or smaller) display and we all know that ain't happening this year so I am fine, as-is.

Sorry, 6s+ was sold about a month ago in anticipation for the new models coming out in September...

My 6s still does everything I need it to do. I can get excited about computers, not about phones. Or watches that must be used with phones. Or tablets.

My wife and my 6s Iphones are less than a year old and she bought a new Ipad mini 4 a month ago, we will be staying with our 6s phones for at least another year. They have been very nice phones and we are quite happy with them.

My 6 still run perfect with IOS 10, dont know will they slow on 11 if apple request upgrade....

Will it slow down? Nothing to back this up with, but if past history is any indication, moving to 11.x it would be a given. Sure, it's cute to get on a forum, even after all these years and comment that Safari seems "snappier!", but personal observations have been anything but.

Myself personally, I will/would be more saddened at the loss of all my non-upgradable 32-bit if I accidentally upgrade to 11.x

My reason for possible yes it that my phone will be paid off it would be a lot harder mentally and with the spouse if I went from x$ a month to a lot higher bill - of course you forget you were paying that amount for 2 years

I have a 6s + and was happily going to keep it for another year. I have it paid off and switched to Cricket. The only problem is that my physical home button is now half dead. I can occasionally get it to work, but not consistently. I've done some digging online, but I'm not seeing a consistent price for replacing it via apple. Anybody in here know off chance? If it ends up being in the $500 range, I may just buy an unlocked iPhone 7 when the new ones come out and the old ones get cheaper. Also, no apple care. (I know, I'll buy it for any new phone).

I've got a 6s+. Planning on keeping it for now. We have until May 2018 until it is paid off. My wife's 6s+ just got replaced due to an Apple Store mishap. So she has a brand new 6s+ while my 6s+ has 222 cycles on it (95%).

I think we're going to wait. We'll see what happens. I was tempted to get the 7+ because of how it looked like Eva from Wall-E (a great movie). Lol. But maybe I'll just wait to see if the 7s+ comes out and get that.

Will either keep this till September 2018 or get the 7s+. The only thing, if I keep this 6s+ for a few more months, I can sell it back for $$$ instead of starting another Apple Upgrade Payment plan for another 2 years.

6s+ has been my most favorite iPhone. It still is super fast, battery life is insane, and the screen... I have read handfuls of books on it and do most of my media/YouTube consumption on it now. I've taken this phone to Germany, many US States due to my job. I really don't want to give it up - developing a bit of an attachment to it.

I use the audio jack quite a bit and the Seña wallet case I have for it is the most perfect case I've ever had (and longest I've ever kept 3+ years).

With an Anker Bluetooth keyboard I do a ton of data input via Google Docs. (I am doing this entry now with this setup).

I have a 6 + that is paid off and works fine for what I need. I'll keep this until I need to replace it.

I would of but i want that OLED screen and I need more storage (i only have a 16gb).

No damn way... I was just thinking today how sick I am of the form factor after the 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus and now 7 Plus. The Plus is simply too big and I hate that, but I always go back to that because of the battery. Hope the 8 will be the best of both worlds.
