I was originally quite excited about the iPhone 8 but am going to pass. My 6s+ is my all time favorite iPhone. Working just fine. The reason I made this decision: I love the larger size of the +, feels great in my hand, and I was sorely disappointed that the new 8 will be a 4.7 phone.

The 8 has a 5.8in screen. Not 4.7.
 
My work phone is a 6s+ , frankly i fail to see any shortcomings compared to my 7+. Suffice to say its still a very reliable phone
 
Yes, that is the size of the screen because it has no bezels. But the physical size of the phone itself is said to be close to the 4.7 phone.
I think you are the first person I've encountered that actually likes the physical size of that phone as opposed to the screen size it offers. It's usually a compromise due to its cumbersome size.
