Who's With Me? (Sept. Update Frustrations)

I believe there was a rumour a while back that these new laptops might be of a much lower price. If they are, consider me interested. If not.
Well then I'll wait until I've finished Uni and buy the new MacBook with built in iHologram screen...
 
I'm enjoying my Mac experience alot. It's just even though OS X is a huge change compared to XP and Vista, I'm not so sure if it's worth the extra premium you have to pay for it.
 
is it just me, or is waiting for the updates taking longer and longer as it gets closer? lol

i cant wait for them...but then again, i dont even have any money to fuel my switch to mac...really excited anyway
 
I bought an iMac. I fell off the waiting list guys. My first Mac ever.

Well everyone I officially fell off the bandwagon. Today I ordered a 2.8 ghz 24 inch iMac. I expect to this to arrive either tomorrow (Later today) or tomorrow (8-28-09).

Anyhow by the time this new Macbook comes out I will have money left over to still buy it. For now I will enjoy my first Mac ever.

I'm so excited and can't wait to play with my new iMac. I will post pics if some of you care to see.

Anyhow I don't care anymore when this new Macbook comes out. I have an iMac now to play with. :):):):)

I too fell off the wagon...couldn't wait, and Windows was killing me. Got my Macbook a couple weeks ago and I love it, no regrets at all. Definitely post pictures of your new friend, we must see! :)
 
I'm going crazy. As a journalism major I need a laptop and my Dell is dead. Well, not totally dead but the batter is dead and I don't want to pay around $150 for a new battery.

I'm trying my hardest to wait for the updates... but I'm falling fast. This Dell only works when plugged into the wall... and I need to be portable!

It's a little like driving around on a hot day waiting for the wind to blow through your hair, but it isn't coming. :(

i to feel short of waiting and apple loved me that warm august day as i bought a blackbook, iphone 16GB white, ipod touch, and a printer....lol... i had a powerbook so i wasnt new to mac... my mom wanted me to go vista but i told her i would rather keep my powerbook so we went to the store and updated everything
 
If this update doesn't come within the nest 2-3 weeks i swear im going to go crazy. First was interested in the back to school update and now reading all these rumors about a new macbook, the waiting is killing me. Please be September 9th!

Except that you don't "have" to wait. You can buy a mac now if you wish. Getting annoyed with Apple because you're placing faith in rumours about what might happen is a little silly.

Yea i want to buy a laptop as well, but i'm still considering it.

What new updates should come with the new macbook?

And what difference does aluminium make with plastic?
 
I'll be getting a new laptop in June, so I'm quite enjoying the waiting game! :)

What I'd (realistically) like in an update is just normal spec updates, the processor is fine, but maybe some more RAM. A dedicated graphhics card would be nice. Multi-touch trackpad (a la MacBook Air)

I know it won't happen, but wouldn't it be cool if they implemented some sort of keys like the Optimus Maximus.
 
I think that if Apple would come out with the updates before the 9th of September that they would increase their customer satisfaction and make us more brand loyal!!!!
 
I've been waiting for a new computer for a year now. If they don't release the Macbook Pros in September/October I'm gonna implode.
 
It's a bit frustrating now, but it's not too big of a deal. 6 months from now, I wont remember waiting two weeks. :)

Well, I'm off too and gave in today.

I love the plastic design more than my MBP which I use at work. The thing goes as fast as I need, and the free printer (yes, I know it goes on all year round) and iPod promo were too good to pass up. I mean, the new MacBook could just be a simple upgrade, and Apple never really hinted that it will be aluminum or look like the MBA, all of our guesses just come from what the graphic artists try to show us what they want new product will include.

I happy with the current MacBook and am personally fine if a new one comes out tomorrow, I all I need and some more now.
