Just re-did the iOS 4 install and this time did a set up as new phone. Also jailbroke it at the end in order to allow multitasking and wallpapers, WORKS WICKED!

Wow what a difference! Phone is a lot snappier now than it was before when i used a backup.

Setting it up as a new phone will make me lose a ton of stuff, so I don't know if I will be doing that! Is multitasking really that good on the 3G? I also heard wallpapers slowed the phone down. Can someone record the 3G in action with multitasking?

Works perfectly fine.

Any idea how to get that battery percentage meter to show? i cant find it..

Well figured that out, Iphone runs very well with the multitasking-wallpapers and battery percentage!

Great stuff, only thing you can leave TOO many things open obviously under multitasking

ive found even on my 3gs that because the apps are not optimised for iOS4, the multitasking is draining the battery a lot quicker...

closing a lot of them cures it...

bring on the app updates!!

Multitasking is not fully working yet because the 3rd party apps have not been rewritten to make use of it. Moreover, you don't leave apps open and the thing at the bottom isn't a task manager.

See here for more details.

Be careful. I lost my Camera Roll when upgrading. I could get them back if I downgraded but decided to buy MobileSyncBrowser and get the photo's off the last synced backup of OS3.
