You are the only person in this thread that seems to have read it that way. Sorry, but you are in the minority. Did you even read the rest of the thread where I said that Apple will continue to sell the smaller 4" iPhone?

Then say in your OP and thread title, "Apple should sell both a 4" and 5" iPhone 6.

You said that on post #32 after people jumped on you. Why didn't you state this in your OP?

I don't get the whole bigger is better with the phone. I for one am happy with the iPhone 5 size and if I want something bigger I have my iPad.
Just because you want a 5 inch screen, doesn't mean everyone does.

Just because you don't want a 5" phone it doesn't mean nobody else does.

See how that works?

You can continue buying the 4" model while the rest of us will move on with the times. I am glad Apple is going to start offering a choice in screen sizes here soon. 4" just doesn't cut it any more and even Apple knows that.

Exactly my point, so you see my point. And just because I don't want a 5 inch I'm not moving on with the times? again not everyone wants a 5 inch.

4.7 isn't bad, and the Windows phone I almost got was that side. This why Apple might (according to rumors) have difference choices for people because not everyone wants a tablet for a phone.

Edit: seeming what others said, I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Apple is all about not giving choices. I believe they will release a 4,7" iPhone 6 and make the current iPhone 5S the base model for everybody that wants a 4" phone. They will not release a 5,5" phone.

What is the point of *****footing around with 4.7", 4.8" etc.? Why doesn't Apple just go with 5", which seems to be the new standard, and be done with it? It will continue to seem like Apple is playing catchup.

You have your taste in a size and many others have theirs. We all don't have the very same requirements. So try not to cram your 5 inch down other peoples throat. ;)

This is just Apple's way of being stupid:eek:
They obviously cannot make a phone that rivals the Samsung or HTC 5 inch and above phones so they tinker and put out one that is .7 inches larger than the 4 inch. Its a so so time at Apple. No new product announcements or at least, far and few between. Everyone's desk must be collecting dust.:(

Yes they can, but choose not to. They are Apple and if you don't like it, go some where else and enjoy their 5 inch phones.

And you missed the point......

Not at all. There are users that prefer a small screen, there are users that prefer a larger screen, they are both right. To take one side and deem that as what everyone wants, and that the other option is wrong, is head in the sand stuff, it's that simple

Im sure if Apple is ready to integrate TouchID in the screen they can make a compact iphone with 5" but until then... they need 4.7"

It is a pity that the iPhone will have the worst form factor for size, but they have more loyalty than other brands. It will be blasted when announced, then forgotten

it will have the same size like Htc One and that was very appreciate overall

I am currently happy with the current iPhone 5/5S size. However I do miss my iPhone 4s size too. I picked an iPhone 4s up the other say it felt so heavy compared to my 5 but still liked the size of it too. If only Apple makes the 4s the same thin size as the iPhone 5 and bring the weight down of the iPhone 4s that be perfect.

Moto x is perfect size. Hopefully iphone 6 is around the same size.

Can you pull out your phone with your right hand, and (still holding it the way you did to unlock the phone) still hit that hardware "back" button in the lower left? I have a Moto X, and I can't, not without adjusting my grip.

A 4.7" phone is not a one-handed phone, not for me. The iPhone still has that honor, even in its 4" iterations.

Bookmarked. Let's see if you will stick to your "4" is the perfect size" comment when Apple releases the bigger phone. This is like the - 3.5" is the prefect size because Steve Jobs told me so - moment all over again.

I don't understand why people can be against bigger phones and more choice for the user. Just because Apple releases a larger phone doesn't mean they will stop selling the 4" model. It doesn't have to be that way and it won't be that way. People will be able to choose whatever size they are comfortable with.

Then Bookmark me in too.
I'd still like to go back 3.5". 4" is ok but still think 3.5 was a better balance of size weight and function.

If Apple does go 4.7"+ and treats 3.5-4 as second class phones then I'll just have to see how long this 5s will last.

I have been saying that 4" and 5" would be the perfect line up for apple. It lets the small phone people be happy (even if some would like it to be 3.5) and it lets the big screen people be happy (even if some would like even larger), it seems to be the best happy medium while keeping the sku count somewhat low.

I think 4.7 and 5.5 only could potentially be a mistake for apple but in reality what top tier phone would those small screen people really have as an option at that point?

i really hope apple will go the same treatment like ipad air and ipad mini retina, same specs and you have to choose only from display sizes and for iphone should be 4.7" and 4" but not even 1 compromise in spec/design/build

Try using the fingerprint scanner to unlock the device and use any app's upper toolbar without adjusting the grip.
Or just hit space on the keyboard and access the upper toolbar. Not easy at all, I need to adjust the grip.

so why did Samsung go to 5.1" ? Why not stick with 5";) see how that's works! It never ends! I'm glad you get to speak for the rest of the world. I happen to like the forms along with millions of others. But my work phone will be a 4.7 inch iPhone 6
