what? are people seriously this clueless?
DON'T PUT IN YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TWITTER.
Firstly, you need to calm down. Second, don't expect to get anything but negative connotation with a post like that.

The OP asked why people don't want to see twitter in the OS. People answered why they personally don't want to see it. What's the big deal? Why the hate on people who don't care about social media? Everyone has an opinion about what they want in an OS (or at a restaurant).
The consensus among those that don't want it seems to be that people like the restaurant so much they don't want to see something else put on the menu if it changes their current dining experience. They'd rather see things they like added to the menu as opposed to something they don't like.
Of course the chef isn't our personal chef. But when asked what/why people don't like about the restaurant, they are responding. What's the big freaking deal? Why are some twitter supporters so sensitive about this?
Maybe. I see it as more of people just hoping it is not obtrusive. The negative comments against twitter are being made with a certain assumption that it would be implemented as this obtrusive feature that constantly bothers you.
Agreed. There is also an air of contempt for the fact that that apparently iOS5 twitter integration would be the pinnacle feature of the firmware. That's just rubbish.
Excellent points.I don't use voice control, never see it.
I don't use MobileMe, never see options for it in my menu.
I dint use their genius or ping features, never even encountered them.
The theme here is that apple provides feature options but doesn't constantly throw them in your face because you may not want to use them.
I hope you are right. I think the article that started it was touting how deeply embedded it would be got some folks' panties (mine included) in a bunch. I hope it is something like you described where it can easily be ignored and will not interfere with my experience.A correct answer to the question would be "I hate twitter, but if I can opt out and never be bothered again unless I go to activate it, no skin off my back."
Instead you have people seemingly furious that the small time it would take for twitter integration is taking time away from programming bigger and better features. Again, just rubbish. Were talking about Apple here, not a couple programmers in their basement.

We've heard from multiple sources that Twitter is likely to have a big-time partner for such a service: Apple. Specifically, we're hearing that Apple's new iOS 5 will come with an option to share images to Twitter baked into the OS. This would be similar to the way you can currently share videos on YouTube with one click in iOS. Obviously, a user would have to enable this feature by logging in with their Twitter credentials in iOS. There would then be a "Send to Twitter" option for pictures stored on your device.
Concur. I know NO one that uses twitter (only celebrities hawking crap - including themselves), but *every* one I know uses FB. Just saying...All the people I know uses facebook, twitter is useless to me and i assume many other people too, it would be a waste of time having it incorporated in to iOS.

Thanks. My panties are fitting better now. From TechCrunch.
I understand that people dislike it, but i'm wondering why? What is the reasoning behind the comments?
I don't use twitter as I am not a twit.
I use Twitter a lot but I'm not really much of a fan to integrate social networks into the iOS. I've seen a lot of Android devices like this and I just think it's horribly done. I guess I'll wait until Monday to see how Apple decides to include it before I make my judgement.
Its a shame that people like you are making twitter popular when it is just a dumb website with no real purpose.
That's in your opinion which holds absolutely no weight at all. Move along.
My opinion has no weight?
Using your logic, your opinion has no weight or value what so ever.

Its best for you to listen to yourself and move along before replying with other hypocritical responses.
Is that real?
My opinion of what? I never gave you my opinion. I said your opinion has no weight. Twitter is worth around ten billion dollars. If you really think Twitter is dumb (again YOUR opinion) I'm sure Evan Williams would consider otherwise, as he lays on a beach soaking in the sun.
I have no idea. Personally I think this is a refreshing change from everyone else including Facebook integration. Plus I use Twitter more than Facebook, so for me this is a positive thing. People need to be less uptight about things and wait until the OS has been released before passing judgement on it.
Your opinion is that "my opinion has no weight"
Anything that you think with your input is an opinion.
Why don't you refresh your mind with out all this twitter craze getting to you and return some coherent responses.
