So I really really wanted to like it because of the claim that it fits a Plus screen in a vanilla size. I guess technically that's correct, but...

The nail in the coffin however is this:

“At any level of brightness, modulation with a frequency of approximately 60 or 240 Hz is present.”

Also, Face ID sucks.

How bout you guys‽‽‽

Loving mine so far. That said, if they had one in the iPhone 7Plus Size... with an even bigger screen I'd have been on that like a hobo on a ham sandwich.

Horrible battery 7-8 hours vs 10-12 of a two year old worn out 6S Plus.

The screen is worse compared to my plus in multiple ways. Smaller content, the blue color shift is annoying, I've had a headache and eye fatigue since I got it.

Face ID worked well, but was more of me adapting to use the phone rather than the phone working for me. If that makes sense?

The only thing I'll miss is the speakers cause I have a 6S Plus.

May look at getting a 8+

I'm returning. I purchase just to test it really. Its not that I don't like it. I am satisfied with my 7 Plus. This option saves me $$.

Love it so far. Coming from a 7+. A little nervous as I’ve had weird touch issues today with the keyboard. Hopefully it’s nothing. Other than that, love this thing so far

really?
i didn't know that.

are you for real or is a joke flying over my head right now?
It's real. I came to know this when I wanted to return my Apple Leather Case which I just received. They said since Aug 2017 they have no return policy for all items.

You buy it, you keep it.

Apple should treat all customers same worldwide but they aren't.

I thought iPhone X Plus is releasing in April 2018. There will be another annual phone release in September 2018.

While I do understand some of you are happy with your X and will be keeping it, I had hoped the thread would focus more on those returning it and why.

Also, there's no need to thread crap. Let's keep this a friendly forum!! :D

The first day or day and half I noticed significant drain on the battery. Worse than my 6S plus as well. I also noticed it got hot to the touch and close to burning level. It's definitely the hottest phone I've ever held! That said, things calmed down the third day. It got warm a little here and there, but never super hot. The battery lasted a LONG time too, tho I had enabled night mode on most of my apps. Also, I use a very low brightness level.

I agree w/ the smaller content problem in portrait. It kills that method of holding the phone and reading, so I'm forced to turn the phone landscape to read and then it's weird because it's so short and long...like a strange compressed rectangle. Going back and forth between portrait and landscape's no fun!

I don't really notice the shift @ all, but I always use the phone front and center.

The eye fatigue and headaches are real. :( I had to watch football yesterday with a demon headache 800mg of ibuprofen were powerless to stop. I went back and forth between the 6S Plus and the X today reading the same article and I can feel the pain start @ the top of my eyes.

Face ID did not work so well for me. I tried retraining it a couple times and if I'm in a dark room or a slight angle, nothing. I would say it failed once every ten times. It's also not as easy or consistent to unlock as touch id. I'm absolutely not sold on it.

The speakers just impressed the hell out of me! The mic and speakers work amazingly well for speakerphone usage.

I will miss being able to hold the phone up to my ear and actually use it as a phone, haha! I will miss the smaller form factor in my pocket.

I'm going all in with the 8 Plus!

After reading all of these responses, it seems like the 8/8+ is there for customers who don't like the X. It's like Apple was hedging their best or at least providing a solid alternative for people who didn't want the X. Smart.

People in the US are lucky. You can return your phones.

In Hong Kong Apple has no return policy for everything. Even an Apple Case (Not Opened) can't be returned.

You buy it and you have to deal with it according to Apple.

Don't you guys have consumer rights laws in HK?
