Also I don't think most people even realize that you can just upgrade the white 2.4 to 250gbs and have the same computer for $100 less.
The argument for black is that the cost of a good paint job is going to be more than the luxury tax apple has for the black macbook, plus it won't look as good.

as for my black macbook..i love it.. :D

Well, since the plastic is matte (not glossy like the white one), I'd guess it would scratch just as easily, but the actual scratches wouldn't be as noticeable.

We have owned three macbooks in our household, two black and one white. The black finish after a quick clean with a wet cloth looked new. However, the same clean on the white macbook did not do much. The swirls on the polycarbonate showed up too well. I just like the finish and look of the black macbook more than the white.

When I do get a Macbook for general use on of these days it WILL be a black one.

The smudge thing is overrated, and far too little people know about www.applepeelz.com, so it's a moot point.

The black one is ver exlcusive, very professional looking, and melds well with the iPhone which after long debate and educated discussion (yes, that means with no iPhone fanboys/girls) I plan on getting.

It's the one Apple laptop that truly stands out without having to be the 17" MBP.

The white one is just as good of course, but you have to pay extra for your Apple to look even better...

We all know about that just by looking at the iMac.
