I'm specifically talking about the green dot issue with FaceTime. Some people returned/exchanged multiple iPhones when it's really because of the lighting environment that it (green dot) appears. Apple can fix that with a software patch for the camera(s).

People wouldn't normally pay attention to reception this much if they didn't read about it online and look for the problem. I bet if someone started poking into other phones (non-smartphones too), they would discover some hidden issue that only happens in select areas. After all, nothing is perfect, not even Apple.

It's true what this person is saying, my nexus ones battery lasted 4 hours at the most and if you put any pressure in it the screen cracked. But I dealt with it. I had a bb bold 9700 and the keys started falling off I dealt with it. Everything in this world has it's problems.

But at what point do you start holding companies to their products? I would have returned the Nexus and BB for another.

That happens with every Apple product. I remember people going crazy over the screens in MacBook Pros when I got mine. People just expect a higher quality product from Apple.

Yes, remember the 27" iMac screen issue? There was a thread with instructions to test the screen to see if it had the issue. If you don't experience a problem, there's no reason to go looking for one. :)

+1 I agree with this. That is obviously a problem (both phones). But the iPhone is a tab different, but if something fell off, I would exchange it no questions asked.

The point was that all products will have some kind of weekness. I did return the bb but it was still a great phone.

So you didn't just "deal with it". Sure products will have small flaws but if those flaws hamper how the device should operate........well I would be upset.

See but the problem is not a problem for everyone. A problem is a gunshot wound, or not getting paid, cancer comes to mind. A 1 cm strip on a phone that can't be touched is nothing. I like knowing that the antennae works and I can adjust to it.

You are already wasting your time posting about a phone on a forum on the internet. Don't you think there are better things to do in the world than that?

Just sayin'...

I did just deal with it I moved to a newer phone. I didn't feel a need to repeat my issue to the rest of bb owners that already knew it was a problem but accepted it.

I agree it's gotten ridiculous. Everyone knows what the issue is, everyone knows what their options are, nobody has any new information, yet every front page story about this issue hits 1000 posts with the same points made hundreds of times. And yet here I am posting in this thread, so what does that say about me...

It says that your are tired of the nonsense.

It's insanity millions trying to order the act phone at the exact same time, posting order statuses, sleeping in lines, clapping sales people, antennae problem, glass breaking. What in the world it's just a phone? You would think that the beetles were back and playing in a concert.

But they're just a band? :D

Is this your first iPhone or Apple product?

And last time I checked I'd rather have an iPhone than THE BEATLES. I MEAN, C'MON!

:)

But seriously you might not get to see the beetles again but it's not one phone they make millions of them. No need to set up camp in front of the store crapping in bags for a week.

Lmao. I agree, but people...well, you know. I think some of them like to fit the fanboy description and some are just weird and have nothing better to do.

No I have my beloved iPad and a shuffle? Just back out of this and look at all the exact same threads it's crazy.

So you are pretty new to Apple. All the iPhones have had launches like this. People demanding perfect products from Apple and if they are not they can be VERY loud about how unhappy they are.

Then they need psychiatric attention. Apple makes a great product and I am very happy I don't even mind paying more for quality. We need to take the duct tape solution and use it on their mouths.
