Ok then iOS is customizable as well. You can jailbreak it. Lag is when you give a command and it stutters. And yes all androids lag. Keyboard lag, frame change lag, browser lag, etc. I wish it didn't but it does. Why do you think they cram as many cores in them as they do?

HTC One doesn't lag.

Not really if you go to a carrier and buy an android its not open. Android is open for OEM's to put bloatware and mess up but thats it.

AT&T HTC One is easy to unlock the boot loader. I currently run a Sense based 4.2.2 ROM that is crapware free.

According to the ever wise and all knowing KDarling, Jobs wasn't talking about the entire OS, but rather its multitouch features.

...which iOS might've actually had first, but since Apple didn't invent multitouch, well...tough beans for them.

Nope Apple didn't invent it, but they did have the vision to buy the company that did, so it doesn't really matter whether they invented it or not does it ? They own the patents.

Wrong. Apple copied Xerox not Windows, duh.

Never said they didn't. But I didn't say apple copied windows.

True it also is a closed case with no way to use a micro sd made of metal like a certain phone I know of. Too bad its on outdated software and probably will be left for dead like the one s.

Uh oh, it's got to the stage where people are multi-quoting one another; time to zip up the thread, lol. :p

"He said, she said, I said, they said"...

Wow, and we call the human race "intelligent"? Yeah, sometimes...

When you get your brand new android phone home and decide that you want to hook it up to your Mac/PC to get a movie on it then it's a whole new ball game. Sometimes it uses this program, sometimes it uses that program, and sometimes your SOL. That's another problem with it. I also couldn't believe that 3 months before release the HTC one was already running a outdated version of android. So when it was released it was already outdated.

For someone who has owned SO many Android phones you really do talk some rubbish. Although true, each manufacturer will have their own software, it is not necessary to use it.
I own a Samsung Note 2. I installed their software, Kies. It wasnt long before i uninstalled it, as it is unnecessary. Plug phone in, open folder, drag what you want onto it. Can it get any easier?
And if it doesnt work with stock video player, not a problem, download a different video player. No need to convert anything.

I installed an app on my iPhone just yesterday. It doesnt work. That doesnt make ios rubbish, just a dodgy app. My iphone has randomly frozen before, needing a reboot, stock apps have crashed, i dont assume that the iphone is crap, i just put it down as one of those things that happen with the majority of tech products at sone point or another.
Is Android perfect? No,of course not, but it is not as bad as you suggest, and to claim it is as a fact is just plain ridiculous. It may well be your opinion and that is fine, but it doesnt make it fact.

Dont get me wrong i love the iphone, wish it was a bit bigger, and a bit less locked down, i even like itunes,so much so that i use it to sync music to my Android phone.

Kies doesn't work with all Samsung devices on macs. It's horrible software. Android is terrible. If you don't believe me about Kies or android connectivity then google it will set your mind free.

I believe thats what he was saying ... we do not need OEM specific softwares to get Android going (even though they advertise them) ... I have used Android across the board (Sammy, HTC, Sony, LG,...) and always used just 1 software on my iMac i.e. Android File Transfer (by Google itself) .. here you go if you didnt know about it -> Android File Transfer

This is not for anyone specific -------- Android vs iOS discussion are pointless and I dont understand why people start defending one over the other .. maybe because when someone has invested in one of them (Android/iOS), they want to justify their purchase and feel good at the end of the day ... God Knows !

Normally i don't try and defend anything as people prefer different OS, but when the likes of Falconeight starts spouting rubbish out of blind fanboyism i feel the need to correct them.

I really think this thread should be locked . Other then the falcon character spouting nonsense, nothing good is coming out of this.

Android file transfer doesn't work with all phones.

My galaxy s4 didn't work on my mac using kies or android file transfer, neither did my s3 or nexus.

The new iOS & is not actually copied from android, but from symbian actually. i've noticed the icon is almost similar, just too bright and too 'Childish'. (ex Symbian user) I'm hoping that apple will fixed this A.S.A.P. . i want some professional icon and i guessed many of you wanted it too right?

Thats cool! Give it 3 months when the Galaxy s22 launches and that S4 will be worth less than a iPhone 3g.

It already is:

worth
/wərTH/
Adjective
Equivalent in value to the sum or item specified.
Noun
The value equivalent to that of someone or something under consideration; the level at which someone or something deserves to be valued...
Synonyms
adjective. deserving - valuable - worthwhile
noun. value - merit - price - cost - valuation - rate

You want a "corporate" theme? Try a BlackBerry - they exceed at dull.

For the record I don't want a corporate themed phone or a blackberry. Both are ok but I email, look at pics of my kids, throw fish and angry birds, and take pics. No need to make my phone look like a encyclopedia.

Definitely something wrong with your Mac or setup dude ... I thought you would name some old model but these are latest and I have had hands-on experience with all of these ... they all work just fine ...

Maybe now I don't know I haven't used a android in about 3 weeks. Not all androids connect to mac though.

No chance there's something wrong with Kies, then? Infinitely more likely.
