So if I disable iMessage and I send a text and the other person is on Verizon no wifi in range and on the phone but with iMessage on will it show up as an iMessage to them when they hang up or will it come thru as a text?

Answer: Text (SMS)

Reason: If you send a Text (SMS) message it will be received as a Text (SMS) message every time, no matter what.

Furthermore...

Here are the senerios you are asking about and how they will be handled:

On VERIZON with 2 iPhones (both using iOS5)

How iMessages are handled

You send an iMessage > Receiver is not on a call > iMessage goes through with no delay

You send an iMessage > Receiver is ON a call > iMessage will be held until the call is ended

**If at any time you try to send an iMessage and the system senses it is taking too long to deliver it you WILL be given the choice to send the message as a standard TEXT (SMS) message instead.

How Traditional Text (SMS) Messages are handled

You send a Text (SMS) Message > Receiver is not on a call > Text (SMS) will go through with no delay

You send a Text (SMS) message > Receiver is ON a call > Text (SMS) will go through with no delay

Oh holy crap. What does it matter? If your on a call your phone is pressed to your ear- You'll get it RIGHT after the call.

Don't like it? Don't use Verizon
