PS. Audrey Meadows is NOT creepy! :)

I agree.

My reason for this thread wasn't to cause controversy (although I knew the topics often do here on MR) but simply to show what I do with my spare devices and how I use them. And I think I have clearly stated that it was also not my intent to force my views on anyone.

I wasn't expecting outright opposition to a personal choice however. :)

Even if it doesn't make sense to another person. But how we all use our own devices is up to us and I respect that - even if it's not how I would use my own.

I see your point. I think the user I was referring to doesn't care about your opinion, some just want to drag you into an argument for the sake of derailing the thread you started, because no one else will agree with them. They want you to reply to anything they throw at you, when it's not worth your time.

Lol :D
I remember back in the day you had her on your iPhone wallpaper also.
Not sure if you changed it lately.
Btw I had to google that name to find out who she was:D
Yeah, she was on both for quite a while. :D

To the moon Alice! :D

I can add nothing to that except to agree with you.

As soon as Apple start making their phones less slippery, i'll consider using mine without a case. Increasing the battery life would be nice too, so we don't have to use bulky battery cases.

At home I don't use a case. when I go out depending upon what I am up to I might slap a case on. For a night of drinking or somewhere rowdy like a concert probably will slip the case on. Then again the floor on my condo here in Bangkok is such cheap faux wood if I dropped the phone it would probably dent the floor.

I don't care about resale value as I give all of my old ones away. I always swear next time I will keep the old one as a back up. However over here you can't imagine how happy a year old iPhone can make somebody.

My Samsung Edge 7 I gambled away. Was in a small heads up poker game for around $1,000 and was a little short by around a couple of hundred bucks. I said I had an S7 Edge and if I could just throw that in the middle instead. The other player agreed and I lost all in pre-flop against his pair of aces. Good times. lol

The Apple case is the best battery case and it isn't that bulky. But I agree the last three phones have been too slippery to use without a case. And frankly even if you are careful over the course of a year you will drop that phone even if not slippery. I do a slim case and call it a day. I'm hoping I won't need a case again some day. But with 8 rumored to be very expensive I doubt that day is soon.

My favorite iPhone was the four after I cased it for a year. Used it case free for about a year after that and that was the best.

I never used a case on my cell phones as I wanted to enjoy the design, but I had a hard time getting used to the size of my 6/6S after the 5/5S size. It was too thin, too slippery and started in the end to use a thin case. I even reconsidered the 5S or SE again, but didn't want to go back to an 'older' phone as I like the 3D touch or spend the money. At the moment I don't use a case and the size works a bit better for me.
