Of course, that's not true. There's a lot more difference between the 11 and the 11Pro. I'm certainly not going to argue that there's $300 of more value in the 11Pro. IMO, this whole thread is a tad silly.

The better camera setup, stainless steel build quality, AMOLED display, over double the pixels at 3.38 million, 18 watt fast charger.

^ I think that’s all.

There may still be bilateral charging? in iOS 13.2 but I’m not sure?

worth $300? It depends on the person, I’m so picky over having true blacks. And the uneven black light in IPS LCD displays bothers me because I like darker wall papers.

So I guess the battery life, excellent display, and steel frame adds up to enough for me.

I can’t tell the difference in PPI between my iPhone 8+ which was 1080 I believe and my 11. I have my eyes teated regularly for work and don’t need any type of lenses yet thankfully. To be honest it seems like people get caught up on this stat despite it not meaning very much.

Better water resistance, 4x4 MiMo, supposedly more durable screen, and I think the battery.
I wouldn't count on a "more durable" screen to mean anything. It's glass so it will break. More durable than an egg perhaps but still very fragile. I broke my XS Max twice and both were drops from less than three feet onto a hard floor but not concrete. The first time it was in a speck case and the screen cracked. The second time it was in a Apple battery case and both the screen and back cracked. I looked at the back and it was like something under the lining of the battery case pushed against the back glass during the fall cracking it.

If you're worried about dropping it get an Otterbox. That and it's clones are the only cases I've seen that will protect your phone from a fall onto a hard floor. Other cases are probably better than no case at all but it's a gamble as to what happens when it hits the ground.

People look at one number and focus on it not paying attention to any other numbers. The best example I can give is go to a TV display wall at any store and you'll quicky see 4K doesn't mean picture quality. Now that most TV's are 4K it's hard to get a side by side comparison with 1080P but I've seen it where the lower resolution TV looked much better.

Seven pages mainly of others arguing about the differential of resolution, when the majority consumers have no idea even what resolution their TV is= Perspective😁.

Point is, they don’t care, Apples displays are both vibrant/with-accurate color renditions and excellent brightness. That’s what consumers notice.

Had a very brief glance at the iPhone 11 and compared it to my iPhone 8 Plus, nothing obvious really stood out from either phones, so the differences seem rather minor, so minor that I don't believe may affect my daily usage. The iPhone 11 is a compelling upgrade, but still wanting to hold off until a chassis overhaul.

Not looking for an argument but I disagree. If you don't see any difference then be happy with the device you hold. Just don't suggest that no one can see any difference though normal use. I've never placed my device up to my eyeball.

I can see the difference in my 4k OLED TV compared to my old 1080p model. I can see the difference in my work 5k iMac compared to older version. I can see the difference from my 1080p 7+ compared to the 11.

Would I tell anyone with the iphone 11 that their device has an inferior display compared to other phones? Not a chance. It's a great phone with a nice display and I'm thankful Apple still make LCD devices.
Exactly this! People on here are quite literally putting forward THEIR experiences and then promoting them as facts that affects everyone else! Totally ignoring that anyone else can have a totally different experience. I can tell the difference between a 720P and 1080P tv and can easily tell the difference again to 4K. It’s the same with the iPhone. Many others on here have stated they can see the difference from the LCD iPhone to the OLED ones too.

I've had a play with 11 in store, to be honest it's a good display. Maybe I'm completely blind but I didn't notice that much difference between my XS Max or Note 9 (to be fair I run FHD on my Note)

XS Max and Note 9 are comparable as they probably use the same display made by Samsung.

Apple have never sold spec sheets, they give the bare minimum specs that can achieve a certain feature set. In this instance it's a retina display which is 326dpi. On an lcd panel anything over 326dpi is not noticeable to the human eye. If anything Apple should be using an oled display in a phone of this price range but that's Apple for you.

MicroLED should solve all the issues of OLED and LCD, but I wouldn’t expect it in a phone in the next 5+ years.

Sadly...Hope they get it quicker! OLED has it’s disadvantages too and is not worth the $400 premium.

Topic starter is just a troll, nevermind this pathetic fool, guys!

Or an uninformed Android person. "Oh look i can get the Xiaomi for 350$ and i have a better experience for half the price." Why even bother posting here? You won't get an iPhone anyways.

Here ya go, display blind test.
Pfft. I don't trust a blind person to tell me which screen is the best /s

Anyway, I went into the Apple Store last week and put the 11, the 11 Pro Max and my 6S next to each other and opened Safari and the BBC News website on each one. Set brightness to the same ("Siri, set brightness to 50 percent"), turned off truetone, and went through some news articles. The OLED screen had slightly better blacks, and might have been a touch sharper, but I couldn't tell much difference. Both looked better than my 6S, although my 6S also looks pretty good. I also went into some other apps and compared all three.

I ordered the 11.

So you understand the advantage of NOT having vision so superior that you argue over the resolution of cell phones on an Internet forum.

I did see the screen quality in that video with my own eyes, at least as well as my Gen 3 iPad Pro can resolve it.

The point of the video was one that’s been made in this theead many times, it isn’t ONLY resolution that matters.

How about this one? Haven’t the slightest who it is, but I can see the difference in the screens.

That XR screen is garbage, bad colour as well as low resolution
