Nice try. He said I was trying to stop him from making his opinion when he was the one criticizing people having a discussion, the whole point of this forum.

He's critiquing what was said...that doesn't mean he said for y'all not to have one, nor did he say "Stop! You can't discuss this".

I would say nice try back but I'm worried you'll spin it back around somehow like you seem to be doing.

But it really is.

Talk about putting words in people's mouths.

Maybe you should read the whole thread. Cause you just proved your own point. Lmao.
How?

You just like to throw words around but there's no quotes.

I have read the whole thread actually (thanks for inferring that I didn't) but I was focused on the points I quoted. Was there more? Can you quote where he actually "said" y'all shouldn't have opinions? Or was that you jumping to conclusion like I've said?

He said I said he shouldn’t have opinions. I said he criticized people for having a discussion, can you understand that, geesh. Talk about twisting. Lmao.

Lmao!!!!!!!

This "here" was him saying because you said:

It’s a forum, where we discuss these things. Or would you rather we all just shut up?

And have also included the wireless charging pad before.

You're the one who said this first, to his original post:

I'm not saying that Apple should or shouldn't have thrown in a fast charger, but I'm pretty sure that all the armchair CEOs on this forum would proceed to run any large corporation, including Apple, straight into the ground. :D

So then from your reply he actually inferred the infamous:

Oh, so now I'm not allowed to state an opinion? Okay...

Because again, you inferred from his opinion that that means y'all should shut up. But in his original post that you quoted I don't

For someone who can’t even say please, no.

As has been noted, this is a discussion forum where ideas are exchanged, not salt at the dinner table.

I’ve read the whole thread and after you said you were done with the crazy, you came back and posted three more times. Funny, I guess.

So I am curious....why is Apple charging extra for the equipment to be able to utilize fast charging? You'd think for the price, they would include it. I just cannot wrap my hand around this move?!

Seriously why? because they can rip you for an additional £74 (£49 for the 29W + £25 for the lightning to USB-C) for the pleasure...that is some serious margins for a cable + charger just to get fast charging the apple way, and that's on top of what they are already making on the phone. Why do you think apple makes so much money....duhh and also because of "courage" lol because they have the "courage" to do so and every other smartphone maker is in competition with apple and they simply don't have the same amounts of "courage" to rip off their customers like apple does...

I personally don’t care about the wireless charging. You still have to put your phone out of service as you lay it down on the charger. I bought a 6’ cable years ago which allows me to charge and still be able to move around, if necessary to use. My battery on the 8+ is lasting all day.

That's my only complaint about wireless charging

while personally it doesn't interest me to spend the extra cash for their "fast charging" gimmick. i think they need to replace including the 5w charger and at least include the 10-12w charger. should have started with the 6S IMO.

Because they would need bigger packaging which costs way way more than anybody here realizes in shipping costs.

Most people charge at night while sleeping so it is a non-issue for most. For the ones who just can't wait, Apple want$ you to pay up!

Because Apple doesn't feel obligated to.

Profit margins shrink once you include more with the phone.

We are $$$ signs to Apple, first and foremost.

Apple is all about the money obviously.

Many of the customers eat up every dumb decision they make and support their moves so why not.

Yep...

When I found out they were only including 5W chargers I'm like "coming from Apple? Not surprised."

The cash cow is still mooing... and Apple knows this. Still... I won't be buying a fast charger... because I don't need it. The 8 Plus has more than enough battery life for me to make it through a day and charge while I am sleeping.

Same applies to their Airpods. $159.99? LOL My LG Tone 912 is 1/3 the price... wireless bluetooth... and comfortable around the neck. No reason to throw money at Apple... plenty of other people do that already.

Well said sir

Neither will I because I've read it's not appreciably faster than an iPad-type charger. Android devices tend to use faster charging protocols.

It’s quite quick with the iPad charger. Looking at around 40% in 30 minutes or 130 minutes ish to a full charge.

That’s plenty for me.

I've just bought the 29w charger and USB-C to lightening cable as pretty much had to to enjoy fast charging. I wanted it for my ipad pro so i guess least i get good use out of it. Doesn't mean have to be happy about it.

over 95% don't need it, over 60% don't want it.
it would raise the price somewhere around 100 bucks
why include it then? better they who want this, buy it, less waste, lower price.

Because they care about their big fat bonuses at the end of the year, more than customer satisfaction or value for money. Welcome to Tim Cook's Apple.

LOL! Some even wanted Apple to include AirPods. Now that is entitlement thinking for sure.

It's not far off from being a reasonable request. It wouldn't be much skin off Apple's nose. But then, it might mean there's like $1m less to give to the execs at the end of the year, and they can't have that - otherwise what would be the point in all this?
