Why no official cases for the XR? [MERGED]

Why should Apple wait until the Next Keynote on tuesday????

They can update their Homepage Anytime.

Yesterday I found 4 different cases locally that I tried yesterday. Hate them all! Either too much extra bulk, too much branding or too slick. I will really miss the apple cases if they don’t become available soon.

I want something that fits with very little extra bulk like the Apple cases, no branding, and a little bit of drop protection. Preferably leather but I would consider silicon. Unfortunately that combo just isn’t easy to find.
 
Guess Apple aren’t releasing the iPhone Xr clearcase anytime soon, it wasn’t released today :(

Also I just got one of these silicone cases, it’s damn near identical to apples and very cheap. Feels great in the hand with very little added bulk, and it’s raised for the camera and the front from lay on table design.

Has nobody any News, if Apple release the Leather and Silicone Cases later this month?

Or they release them Never.

Why is there no official Statement, Maybe they want to sell more of the S models.

Apple sell coloured Headphones with Lightningport in the same colours of the XR.
So Why no Cases???

Just had a support chat with Apple retail:

"what was relayed to us is that, the cases right now are still being manufactured."

They could not clarify if that was for the clear or any other versions.

Lol It literally takes minutes to manufacture a case. They are talking as if they are fabricating a carbon fiber formula 1 floor with 3 months of lead times lol.
 
It takes a bit longer to manufacture tens of millions of them, package them, ship them thousands of miles and deliver them to stores.

They are not producing "tens of millions" of iPhone cases. They could easily announce them or list them and start taking orders if they wanted to.

That’s why you start ahead of time so they are ready when the phone is released. Dozens of other manufacturers had them ready day 1.

Thats True. Maybe they want the Delay, to sell more of the s models.
 
I wonder if the clear case will surface sometime and how it will differ from spigen, etc.

From the promo pic it looks like the bottom is pretty opened up
 
So no news on this topic? I'm close to buying one from Mujjo (looks the closest to the ones from Apple) but I don't want to buy one if the official is only days away.
 
Clear cases turn yellow over time and I think even Apple has not worked out how to get around that.
