I think the spirit of this discussion is who made the multi lens thing first. We would all agree this objective. It is Samsung. Catching words is just making you look like naive.
No I don't agree. That was not you said. Well it certainly made you a liar. You cannot stick your agrument.

If I was naive I would just blindly trust you but I am not I can make my logical arguments.

So to put this to an end: Samsung was not first to put dual cameras in their Galaxy line.

Steve not only created the iMac, but other Macs too. However, the time has told the final outcome. The winner is Mac Pro 5,1 because it is totally DIY. And Mac users spend more effort and love on DIY a Mac than on an all-in-one Mac. Because DIY Mac has flexibility to upgrade and provide more options to upgrade on-demand. Not iMac or all-in-one Mac, as we can tell from the most thriving discussions in this forum.
The majority of Mac users don't care about DIY desktops.

Indeed, you don't have to. As you are the small number. Just like your last breath right here. Can't change the reality.

No worry, you have no logic at all. Because you are not a Vulcan after all.

The fact is you are ended.

The majority of Mac users don't care about DIY desktops.
You are alone. Small number. No one cares...

Of course not, never heard of it. That's why using local materials as the name of a global product can't be a good idea. Just non-sense and stupid. And Mojave, Big Surf, Catalina, Monterey and Ventura are non-sense to all foreigners. Just mean nothing to us. Can't ring the bell to all us.
Well. If you ever get a chance to visit California, check it out. it’s a very pleasant area. I don't get what is childish about the name Ventura.

Also it is Big Sur, which is another famous beach area along the coast of california. There is also Big Sur beach, which is there, and is a famous surf spot. What is childish about that? What is childish about a large desert?

Can't agree more. It's an arrogant. And their innovations in recent years are suck. Just fine-tuning.
Will admit I'm not a big fan of California; moved away 28 years ago and settled two states away. With that, I don't see the logic how Apple is arrogant at all. Apple is located in California - there are multiple companies worldwide that name their products using local names or ideas. Regarding recent innovations - the M1/M2 chips in their recent computers isn't just "fine-tuning."

Who are you to judge the names of how the state names their towns?

Your acting like every other state/city in the world is perfect.

What? I'm not saying the names of those places are bad. I'm saying Apple naming releases after said places is what's lame.

Every time I hear it, to me it sounds like Mac O Ace Ventura.

I don't think it needs a name, it already has an incremental number and each version isn't amazingly better than the last.

I stick with the numbers: although they are fairly silly as well, as between MacOS 9.2.2 and MacOS 11 we had an odd hiatus with 16 operating systems: so "Ventura" ought to be called MacOS 29 . . . but, Hey, Apple wouldn't like to be
line Microsoft with no Windows 9 and forget how to count properly, would it?

But do Vista, Win 8, Win 8.1 really count?

They skipped windows 9 because there is so much broken old code out there apparently that would think it was running on windows 95 or windows 98 as it checked for "Windows 9*" (which would match in a comparison check).

All those OS numbers prove is that all that rubbish that schools tell you that you need to be
good at Mathematics to be a computer programmer is wrong, wrong, wr0ng!

I’m sad after Steve is dead. Apple has no a real leader and no innovative products anymore. All apple staffs are just followers.
Three juicy comments there… I won’t argue except to say that you may have overlooked AirPods, Apple Watch and Apple silicon; and that if you truly believe Apple staff are just followers that you let them know.

I'm holding out for macOS Haight-Ashbury.

Now wouldn't that be a trip...

And to those concerned Ventura isn't a sufficiently significant place in California, I'll leave you all with this thought:

What if we find out they actually named it after Jesse Ventura?

And speaking of former celebrities... macOS Cosby, anyone?

Why not calling your new OS after the most successful Pet Detective, ever!

🙃

VENTURA in Spanish means good luck, fortune and state of happiness.

The opposite is DESVENTURA and we also have AVENTURA which means adventure.

Why on Earth did they name it Ventura?

"Why on Earth did they name it Ventura?"

Obviously the 'prawns' at Apple, while being reasonably good computer programmers, are cr*p at Spanish, if they know any at all.

Well it's officially San Buenaventura, named after the mission downtown on Main Street. The locals have just called it 'Ventura' since whenever.

Incidentally, as a BR and BSG fan, I'm officially tossing a few other names in the pot for potential future versions:

macOS Buck
macOS Wilma
macOS Apollo
macOS Boomer
macOS Theo
macOS Starbuck
macOS Elias (or) macOS Huer
macOS Adama
macOS Sheba
macOS Cain
macOS Ardala
macOS Baltar
macOS Centurion

macOS Centon
macOS Micron
macOS Millicenton
macOS Secton

macOS Felgercarb
macOS Frak!
