Okay, so if I walk into the Apple store to get my 3G S, will they be able to see that I'm on a Premier account and they'll waive the fees in-store?
Apple store NO (you might not even be able to be serviced there). AT&T possibly.
 
Check and make sure that is the 3G S and not the old 3G phone ;)

I think that may be the "old" 3G phone.

Correct that is the current 16 GB iPhone 3G and this is not a Premier Only Discount but the new pricing as of June 9 when the iPhone 3G S was announced. Please note this $149 is only for new customers, upgrade eligible customer or existing customers adding a line of service. If you are not eligible for an upgrade just add $200 for the "Early Upgrade" price and another $200 for the no commitment price for a max of $549 for the current 16 GB iPhone 3G (while supplies last...)

I ordered the phone through ATT after reserving it at the apple store. I went with ATT because I already had problems with Apple and FAN discounts so I don't want any issues this time, just flawless activation. Hopefully this saves me 20 hours of talking to ATT reps explaining my problems.
 
For those of you who ordered through the Premier site and got an email confirmation on your order...

Did your email confirmation mention anything of a shipping/delivery date? Mine says something to the effect of "2-5 days pending approval", but nowhere is the June 19 mentioned.

Just wanted to see if this was in the norm.

yup.. that's what mine says. but then when i was talking to customer service, he said that on the 19th when we get the order ready email, i'll have to pick it up from the store. I don't know anymore.
 
Bottom line: DON'T ORDER FROM APPLE OR PREMIER UNTIL YOU SPEAK WITH A REP AT AN AT&T STORE. At least thats my recommendation if you have a FAN on your account.

The online Apple site will let me go through the whole process of preordering, shouldn't that mean that they'll let me get it there? Or will I not get the upgrade fee waived if I go through them?

Depending on the FAN the Apple Store might not let you pre-order from them. The upgrade fee is on AT&T's end. You will receive the benefits that were stated in the FAN agreement.
 
And yet again it's off the premier store. It was on the site at around 4 PM on the 10th but I wasn't able to order at that time and as of right now it is not there. Hopefully it's back on later today.
 
I got it

I bought a refurb iPhone 3g from Premier (new account) and it was delivered on 5/29. I called Premier on 5/9 and asked if I could upgrade with the buyers remorse policy and they said YES - and it is being shipped to me on the 19th! So I am very pleased! I just have to pay the difference between the 16 GB refurb (plus a 10% restocking fee for iphones - $15.00) and the new iPhone (+ 9.99 shipping).
 
Anyone here seeing anything but:

"We have received your order request, and we expect to begin processing it shortly."

for their order status on the Premier site?

And when I checked on the normal AT&T wireless order status site, I get:

"We're sorry but the information you entered was not recognized by our systems. Please contact us for further assistance."

whether I enter my order number or my work/home number (when I called AT&T about this, I was told I am getting this because I am a NEW AT&T customer).


ALSO, the rep said that he heard they were shipping on the 19th and we will probably get them on Monday the 22nd or Tuesday the 23rd. Not sure if that will be the case or not.
 
Thought I'd update: it showed up again, so I went ahead and ordered it while I had the chance. Everything worked fine with no problems. It's so strange it keeps appearing and re-appearing...
 
I am showing the $399/$499 price when I log in to upgrade my corporate line. Is there any information that will show up to indicate when I would be eligible to upgrade at the $199/$299 pricing?
 
I'm a new customer and It's funny because I see it on my wife's premier store and not on mine especially after yesterday afternoon it was on both of ours but I was in class so I couldn't take advantage of the opportunity. Her discount is only 5 percent as oppose to mine being 20 percent. I also spoke to one of those online agents and all I get is that the site is currently being "updated".
