And in other news,Samsung ALWAYS copies iPhone right?Right?

"The iPhone display may also feature edges that are curved on both sides, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and it is rumored to have a glass body, moving away from the aluminum that's been used for iPhones since the iPhone 5. Other features that may be built into the 2017 iPhone include wireless charging, an enhanced Taptic engine, and new biometric capabilities like iris scanning or facial recognition."

Wait.I have heard this before?Where on Earth could it be

That should be the phone they are releasing this year, not 2017.

Not sure why people care who copies who. If it brings out good tech then why does it matter? we want good products.

To answer the thread title, if you're unhappy with your current phone and don't want to wait an entire year for the 8 (for which we just have rumours and speculation at the moment), then whatever Apple releases in September would be a compelling option.

Otherwise, meh.

Personally I am now thinking about even getting a 6S coz no point paying more for no antennae strips which I never see because the phone is in my case and no headphone jack. The 6S is plenty fast for me anyway

They don't know nor do they care of the specs of their iPhone. It's an iPhone, it's what they know, so they buy it. They have no clue what's coming in Sept let alone about some 'super phone' come 2017.

This is true, I guarantee there are people today and all the way through the release date who will walk into an Apple/ Carrier Store and walk out with a new iPhone 6S/ 6S Plus.

Microsoft did this with the Xbox One S. "We're coming out with this device, but the real new Xbox is coming after that."

Well, then why come out with the product at all? Now that we KNOW about the iPhone 8, we're not going to buy this phone WE'RE GONNA WAIT.

If you look at the phone, it looks just like an iPhone 6s. And with what we've been hearing, it pretty much IS an iPhone 6sII.

It's literally the nothing new iPhone. They did this before with the infamous "iPad 3"
because some people want the latest and greatest of everything so they get every iPhone ;p
