Just something to consider but that band if it’s ones only band might be distracting at night in the dark in bed. Just a thought.

Why would I not get the Nike version of the series 4

I think it’s reflective not glow in the dark. Unless you’ve got a light shining into your bedroom shouldn’t be an issue.
I have a series 2 Nike edition. The only difference is the band and a couple of added watch faces. After I got mine about 6 months later you could buy the same Nike bands on eBay or Amazon. So to me there is no real advantage.
The watch faces. Why not have the flexibility for a bit more than the stock faces to choose from if going aluminum?

Will the Nike branded sport loops eventually be sold separately? I bought two other Nike sport loops in the past year, but don’t see the new Nike colors sold apart from the watch right now. I didn’t buy them timed with a new watch launch and am not sure if it’s normal for them to be sold separately later. I prefer the Nike summit white over the regular seashell sport loop.
I've got a bunch of other bands, so no biggie. And unless you have a light shining on it, it won't have any light to reflect.

Btw, Nike stock is higher than it has ever been. Some boycotts aren't all that effective....
I am not doing so the boycott would be effective. I choose to do because of how I feel about Nike . . .

It's worth it for the faces for sure. They were the best ones IMO on the 3.
the fluorlastimer sport band with the nike watch is IMHO the best sport band. Sweat resistance (trust me) and breathes.
If it’s anything like the S3, there were analog and digital watch faces for the Nike version.
I’m not sure I will use any of the Nike faces but the normal aluminium sections all had boring bands so I thought I would give the reflective one a try.
There is no gold aluminum Nike model, or I would probably have waited and bought one.
I’m getting it for the reflective sport loop band. I have a Series 3 and the Nike black sport loop so since the regular Series 4 options are limited I’d rather get this model and have that cool band plus some extra watch faces as an option for the exact same price. Just have to wait a bit longer too. I’m fine with that personally

How good is the quality of step/distance count on a trendmill who gps isn't involved? It will be my first Apple Watch so I'm unsure about that
