You know what's one thing that stirs up a little hatred toward Apple? The fact that I can't transfer music onto someone else's iPhone from my computer. Like if I wanted to share an album with someone, and plugged in their iPhone to my Mac, it won't let me drag and drop anything onto it.

And if I sync, it warns it'll delete all said iPhone's content, and sync with the stuff on my computer, which clearly my friend doesn't want to happen.

Ugh?

Ditto trying to organize/transfer photos strictly through iPhoto. It's all a nightmare.

Some freedom is okay, Apple. :T

I would blame the music industry on that. If you want to share music that bad, buy the CD and make copies.

sk1wbw is right, its the music industry.

@onthecouchagain: its been like that for years since the 1st mp3 player came out n the industry realised like holy shyt they shldnt be able to do that.. and you blame apple?. u oughta be kidding.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A406 Safari/7534.48.3)

I like my iPhone. Sometimes I glance at it lying on a table and feel good about owning it. How do apple do that? it's weird :)

I like my iPhone because the company I work for pays for the phone and service.

I usually mention the things I like about android but I'll do the opposite.

I think the iPhone is better for social networking. Group messages especially with other iPhones is much better.

It's a much more stable os. Although apps do closed on me it's not quite as often as android apps.

I've yet to have to turn the phone on and off or reset the device.

The lack of customization makes it easy how to tell someone how to work the phone.

I've been pretty happy with battery life. I can make through a work day and have 20-30% battery left. I have a 4s 16gb.

I actually find Siri useful for texting and driving. It's illegal (second offense) to text and drive in my state.

And probably a couple other things. If it wasn't for the fact all my friends have iPhones I'd probably not like it as much.

I dont hate the iPhone; in fact I used to own a 3GS (but switched to a Galaxy SII).

My 2 main "problems" (I'm using the word very loosely here) were:
1. small screen. the retina display is nice but I really do prefer the larger screen of a SII.
2. being forced to do thing's Apple's way. I'm not too big into customization...in fact I run my SII stock. But for instance, before jailbreaking, I had to do some menu-diving to turn on and off bluetooth and that was a pain for me.

That being said, the Galaxy has its own share of issues. And to be honest, as a whole, i still do like iOS better than Android (though I haven't tried ICS). But the phone itself is nice.

But really, no phone is perfect and you just get the one you feel is best for you. I don't get people who hate on a product just because they don't use it or can't understand why other people use it. We already have so much hate in the world due to politics, religion, race, etc... do we really need to add phones or companies to the list?

Oh, and I completely disagree with jealousy as a reason. Maybe its true for some, but I think the majority of iPhone haters aren't jealous. If anything, saying iPhone haters are jealous is just a passive-aggressive means of showing superiority ("our phones are so much better that everybody who can't have it, hates it/us").

The reason that some people hate iPhone is simple. They have chosen an Android or WP7 (possibly for cost/contract reasons) and they are insecure about their choice of handset, no matter how hard they try to convince themselves or other people otherwise.

This bothers some people to the extent that they feel they need to go to a competitors forum and preach how good the competition is. Kinda like a Jehova Witness (for example) goes door to door to try and convert peoples faith.

Someone who is truly happy with what they have chosen would never feel the need to do this. I have never visited an Android or Windows forum in my life, they may not even exist for all I know!

I love the iPhone and I dont want to change nor do I feel the need to convert others.

I'm not doubting that's not the case for some but IMO anyone can switch on contract to either device.

Price between both is too close to worry about IMHO .

Put it this way like I mentioned I have a free iPhone supplied to me by my employer. And once google works out a couple kinks in the galaxy nexus I'm going to buy one off contract and switch. I can't resell my work phone either.

So I plan on paying 600-700 bucks versus paying nothing. I hardly consider that being a cheap alternative.

I like the iPhone and iOS just not as much as the gnex and ics.

There will always be people switching but I can tell you the Verizon galaxy nexus sub forum of android central is filled with iPhone users switch. On this forum you see a thread every once in a while of an android user switching to an iPhone and when you do they nearly always had a bottom of the line android device.

I'm typing this on my iPhone via tapatalk and I really do like the iPhone and iOS plenty of benefits to owning one its just not for me ALL the time and price of the phone and/or never trying apple has nothing to do with my opinion of it.

And in case you think I'm lying about trying an iPhone.

It's called cognitive dissonance. Hating the competition helps them justify their decisions and feel warm and tingly inside.

What I've noticed that seems to annoy android owners is some iPhone owners (not all) preach about how android copies everything apple does. As if Steve jobs an apple werent reinventers.

They are brilliant at taking an idea and making it better but the iPhone wasn't the first smart phone, apple wasn't the first computer, iPad wasn't the first touchscreen tablet, iPod wasn't the first portable mp3 play, Siri isnt the first voice controlled assistant, they weren't the first to use touchscreens, computer mouse, etc etc.

All their ideas are borrowed and improved upon (to a lot of people's opinions). They even called the iPhone a reinvention.

And I think a lot of people would agree that's annoying if someone came in here and started spouting off. "nice improvement to your notifications! Googles been doing it that way but better for years".

I see that all the time on the android forums.

Personally to me it's just stupid to hate the competition. If they were no competition we'd all we using the first iPhone. Why improve it? It's the best. If nothing else we should all appreciate the competition and hope they battle it out for better features that way the consumer wins.

Same would apply to the owner of the competition.

Not unless the owners of the competition have actually used the competition's devices. I've used them all, going way back to when cell phones had rubber antennas and LED numbers. So when most people, like me, say that they hate Android it's because it's coming from experience.

So you are assuming that no one with android phones have tried an iPhone?

I have both a 4s and Motorola Xoom 3G/LTE tablet. It seems when I find a fault with either I'm a fanboy of the opposite. Apple owners are much more touchy, or I find more faults . Either way isn't good. :)

I find I have a love-hate relationship with Apple products. I love and respect certain things Apple does particularly well (this is especially so with their macs) but also hate other things they insist on (e.g., their "Apple's way or the highway" mentality).

I love my iPhone, and at this moment can't imagine myself ever getting another type of phone. (That may change one day, but it's how I feel right now) Now as much as I love the iPhone, I fully understand other people getting other phones. Everyone has different preferences, or needs.

However, that doesn't stop friends, family and I cracking jokes about eachothers types of phones all the time. But it's all in good fun, and we're hardly being serious.

No, my point being is that almost every single person who hates anything Apple, I'm talking about the Android fanboys out there, have never ever used anything Apple. They just hate Apple for some unknown reason.

They are easily fooled.

Android allows carriers to add crapware. Thus carriers advertised that Android is more "open".

However, these people don't understand why their Android phones can't get timely firmware updates.

Hello,

Almost all my friends use Android phones and they are always giving me their iphone hater attitude. Why would anybody hate the iPhone... I mean, this is a great product. It has an amazing camera, the OS runs silky smooth, there are hundreds of free apps, the warranty is great, the customer service at Apple is very good... damn!... what else do they want to not hate this thing?...

I just want to share my feeling about all this people that hate the iPhone without any reason at all... I don't know.. I'm just thinking loud here.

What do you think?

I think your friends must be on dog food.

Don't confuse manufacture skins with carrier bloat.

That is carrier bloat....notice it's on my iPhone. although we both can agree menu diving to get there is better then an app with icon.

Skins bring a lot of features to android but what annoys android owners is the inability to remove apps they don't want. Apple had the same thing, things like news stand which is very annoying because I can't even drop that into my junk folder with the other apple crapware I never use.

And now with android ics you can disable and hide the bloat. This is something I really wish apple would look into.

Yes you are right about updates. Manufactures need to test and modify their ui to new updates. This adds time to there release. But keep in mind there is always a Nexus device available that gets its updates from google so there is a version of android phone for those that don't like skins and or want fast updates.

And before anyone says it if you like a certain undeleteable apple app that's fine but someone else might not.

I understand what you are saying. My initial response was to say the same about apple fanboys. Most have not tried android.

You and I being the exception of course. Lol

There's a lot of people here who accept the Apple way as if it were God's way.

Always disappoints me.

To add to this, I don't find Android stable enough for daily use, even if you get a ROM from XDA or Cyanogen.

I would have preferred that Meego had continued to thrive and become a true open-source alternative, since that was looking REALLY promising, but Microsoft scuttled it in favor of Windows Phone. Hopefully the Tizen OS built upon Meego will have support for all Android phones so we can wipe out that Android junk and use something that is actually "open"

I can load and share my music to a friend's android device without any complication. Ditto pictures, files, etc.

Edit: I'm not saying, per se, that the inability to do this on the iPhone is grounds for hating Apple. It's just frustrating.
