Some say that iOS hasn't change since it came out. Well Android hasn't changed that much either. I was looking at the new Samsung Galaxy S2 and the OS looks like every other Android I've seen in the past. Not much of a change...

You know what's one thing that stirs up a little hatred toward Apple? The fact that I can't transfer music onto someone else's iPhone from my computer. Like if I wanted to share an album with someone, and plugged in their iPhone to my Mac, it won't let me drag and drop anything onto it.

And if I sync, it warns it'll delete all said iPhone's content, and sync with the stuff on my computer, which clearly my friend doesn't want to happen.

Ugh?

Ditto trying to organize/transfer photos strictly through iPhoto. It's all a nightmare.

Some freedom is okay, Apple. :T

When did I say Mac? I was responding to his comment about Android users on an iOS forum. Read closer next time.
lilo777 was quite obviously making the point that many Apple users are just as likely to do what you accuse Android users of doing. Read closer next time.

Not gonna lie, before I had an iPhone (just got a 4S mid Dec) I had a really basic LG phone (no web), and I had this slight feeling that having an iPhone was a fad and people thought it made them look cool. And then finally I got one and I'm ashamed that I didn't get an iPhone sooner.

So I can personally say that I sort of had that envy that people are talking about. Not trying to turn this into a smartphone "versus" debate, but I honestly do believe that the iPhone is the supreme phone of this time. Other phones have great features/platforms, etc... but I honestly have to say that at the end of the day, I will always prefer an iPhone (unless something even more breakthrough and inventive comes out). The iPhone just feels ahead of its time a bit.

Those who hate the iPhone (or at least imagine that they do...), could probably not afford it in the first place. Or maybe they didn't want to stand in line to buy it. Therefore they went with the second choice, in this case Android, and started to hate the iPhone so as to justify their decision. Just like when the fox can't reach the grapes, gives up and says "oh well, they're probably sour anyway", then walks away.

I'm not saying that all Android buyers have picked it as a second choice, but I think it applies to those who hate the iPhone.

This makes no sense. Lots of people with disdain for the iPhone have Android devices like the Galaxy Nexus and Droid RAZR...which are $100 more than the 16GB iPhone 4S.

They could be "Apple haters" who hate everything made by Apple for the sake of hating Apple. I know someone like that. When you ask them to justify why they hate the particular product they can't ;)

The high end Android phones like the Samsung GS2 cost about $1300, thats $250 more than the $1050 16GB iPhone.

Samsung SG2 (16GB) = $649.99 off contract.
iPhone 4s 64GB = $849.00 off contract.

Your facts are so wrong it's hilarious.

That's because now they can afford such expensive devices, though the hate remains.

Another possibility is that they are disgruntled devs who are disappointed in Apple's refusal of letting their product into the iOS ecosystem.
