For many years Rush Limbaugh was a harsh, judgmental conservative commentator on American TV who frequently lashed out at other people. In this context, the OP is using sarcasm to make a point by saying that Rush Limbaugh would show him much more kindness and sympathy than the posters on this thread. 😱😀
Why is this written in the past tense? Rush has become a frighteningly rotund, drugged-up (hydrocodone), curmudgeon whose increasingly vitriolic diatribes still (somehow) attract an audience.
You would think that Rush would have some sympathy/empathy after his struggle with drug addiction, hearing loss, and other issues. But, you'd be wrong! Rather tragic, to be honest, because he is an intelligent guy who I actually used to find quite compelling (back in the 90s).
Anyhow, perhaps if I had "professionals" break into my house, pass up my several-thousand dollar macbook, steal my ipad with the broken screen, and then come back again to get the laptop later, leaving behind their "professional" tools, I would have more sympathy/empathy for the OP. Did I get the story right?
Anyhow, it just sounds rather odd and unbelievable. If it is true, I am sorry to hear it. If not, this is kind of a sad troll thread, and I encourage you to produce something more exciting next time.
