Hello MacRumors, long time member, first time poster.

I released my app WiFi finder a few months back. The app helps you find free WiFi hotspots near you, including the password if required.

Available for Free on iPhone, iPad & MacOS (not designed for Mac but it works).

My app isn't the only one of its type on the market, but I think mine stands out for the following reasons:.

1. Minimal ads/No paywalls: No pop up videos, nothing that interrupts your experience using the app. There are also no features hidden behind paywalls.

2. Filter WiFi by speed: My app has a built in speed test feature, so if you're looking for a cafe with super fast WiFi, tell the app to only show places with fast WiFi.

3. Filter places by business type: Looking for a bar, or a cafe, or library? Filter by type of establishment and find the environment you're looking for.

4. Offline Mode: Download any custom area and download all the available WiFi info. Perfect for travelling, find nearby WiFi even without a data plan.

5. QR/Share feature: Tap the QR code button, and a friend can scan it to log on without needing the app themselves. Tap the share button to send all the WiFi info + QR code to any app of your choice.

6. Support for 22 Languages: English, French, Japanese, German, Italian, Korean etc.

I work in film/TV, so I'm working in different locations all the time. Having internet is very helpful, especially if I need to upload large files to a Dropbox. I wanted an app that made it easy to log onto public WiFi networks that wasn't a pain to use, hence I built this app.

I'm sort of soft launching the app in Toronto. The biggest hurdle of this app is getting WiFi info onto the app. It's a community powered app, users can add and verify WiFi info, so my hope is long term this app becomes helpful worldwide I've personally been going to places in Toronto to test speeds, and adding info & passwords myself, so it currently works best here. I have users worldwide already though, and more and more info is being added every day by them! Currently have 9,000 spots in the app worldwide.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Too many. I’ll pass.
Fair enough. I'd love to have 0 ads but I have costs associated with hosting the app and using Google's maps API.

I only have a banner ad, and interweaved ads in the list view. No unskippable videos that pop up, nothing that interrupts the use of the app.
