Haha. I guess it does in the same way that nothing more than your 'gutt instinct' qualifies you.

You are correct, but I didn't try and use irrelevant "qualifications" as a trump card.

BTW, my "gutt (sic) instinct" is based on years of experience with Apple product launches. But then, I don't work at a bank.

Don't be a baby just because you got burned so hard.

The sarcasm seems to be missed here. Lol

Oh. So you have bought products from apple before. That must make you an expert then, in the same way that I've been to a few zoo's before, therefore I'm a koala bear.

The relevance to me working in a bank is I know an issuer can't be asked from money until services have been given. Right now, none of us own anything, or are entitled to any apple watches until we have paid for them.

Another newbie troll heard from. Got anything intelligent to say, or is "burn" the best you have?

You're gonna have a stroke at a real early age if you keep getting that mad at random nobodies on the internet.

I literally choked on coffee reading this. Thanks a lot.

Nice non-sequitur. I use direct experience, and you use irrelevant job qualifications.

As to your second paragraph, I will now call BS on your purported, vast banking experience. An issuer CAN ding a credit card to verify it's authenticity. It's called "pending transactions", which go away if not posted. Sometimes it's only $1, sometimes (e.g. BH Photo) it's the entire amount of the pre-order. The transaction only posts upon shipment.

If you want to inject yourself further into this discussion, it would help if you knew what you were posting about.

You and Darren should get a room. Or are you the same person?

You seem to be confusing yourself.

A pending transaction wouldn't progress you up the delivery queue and is totally different from what you originally said. You said the first time we would notice our order had been dispatched would be when Apple take the money from our bank, which is wrong. Apple would change the status in the step before that.

This 'pending transaction' idea you're now running onto is called a 'card authorisation' it was done by apple on the 10th when people made their pre-order to make sure the card was active. £0.01 will show on your online banking, maybe more or less depending on your card issuer.

I'm honored you think I'm funny enough to have come up with that koala joke.

Please re-read my posts, only slowly this time. Perhaps if I translated to Gaelic?

I never said anything about moving up in the delivery queue. Only that the card is charged BEFORE the shipments move to delivery status. How else would Apple know the card is at the limit, or do you really expect they would move something to shipping if there were insufficient funds available?

It's a bit more than "gutt instinct". I've seen it before - I see a charge for the FULL AMOUNT an hour or two before the order status changes. It's just a question of timing and how soon the respective entities update their status. I don't need to be a banking authority to know this.

Haha no I get it, he photoshopped the shipping details. But I was just wondering if he actually did order the 42mm sport with white band.

I did. Ended up ordering two since I had to do it sight unseen. Got a 42mm white sport and 42mm space grey sport.

White is in the "launch day" delivery range band and space grey is the mid May band.

I avoid the orders page. You know why? There are two big "CANCEL" buttons there and I like coffee. I'll watch here. When things start moving, I am sure I'll hear about it

It's like creeping through someone's old pics on fb or instagram. You have to be very very careful
