Who cares what they call it, it's just a name. They could call the iturd and people would still buy it.
Funny thing is that you are right.

Nope, it would be Boston only. A NY accent would be like "iPawd"iPad is just iPod with a Boston and or New York Accent
Good idea, sounds nice and gets rid of the "i".Just Apple Touch sounds better.
Also a good idea, and BRLawyer's Easel could be an optional dock, since you stand your "Canvas" on an "Easel"...i like "Apple Canvas"
Will the iPad have wings?
This tablet is going to happen. My mac dealer showed me literature about it.
Horrible, sounds like an Apple branded feminine hygine product.
How about MacPad or MacTab? You know, because its essentially gonna be a macbook type of power? I personally like Apple Mult-iMac

14 years old start out with an iPod Touch,
trades up to a iPhone,
trades up to a Macbook Slate,
trades up to a MacBook Pro / Air,
trades up to a iMac,
trades up to a Mac Pro
I think the device will join the MacBook line, not the iPod line. Hence the Slate/Tablet will be called the 'MacBook Slate' (It is supposed to have an E-reader function) and will join the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models in the portable line up.
