I think iPad or iTablet is far, far more likely than iSlate.
iSlate is just a dumb name (at least in the US), and I think Apple would pull a major PR media coup to differentiate themselves if they go to something like iPad after everyone else at CES was talking up "slates".

ipad = 7" touchscreen device
islate = 10" touchscreen device
iPad is too similar to iPod - what kind of revolutionary product would start off by imitating the name of such other well established product?

I think iPad is already taken by several companies.
I can already tell you they won't use it, Macs iPad would surely come into trademark dispute with MaxiPad
