But this week isn't summer. Apple said Summer 2009. My iTunes Store is working.

I'm thinking beta 6 was held off until now due to it containing too much information about the new model. We'll see beta 6 today, which will be feature complete and add additional APIs for features of the new model iPhone.

I think the same thing. I am sure that they are wanting there to be a surprise in there somewhere. I think that they will release a beta to devs today. That will give everyone a month or so to get the last bugs worked out now that everyone will know what the new OS and possibly iPhone will have.

iPhone iTunes works, therefore my internet connection is fine (I'm posting here). I get the error message when trying to open the iTunes store on my computer.

My answer is Yes. Why would Apple release iTunes 8.2 just days before the WWDC ? That could well be the reason behind.

I would say there will be no final release of Os 3.0 this week. But a Beta 6 at friday. Why should they release a new beta while the developers conference is ongoing? they want the developers to concentrate on the conference

They released a beta of 2.0 on the 2nd day of WWDC last year.

3.0 had its preview in March. 2.0 was only previewed at WWDC 2008. I don't see why after 3 months they can't ready and release 3.0

2.0 was first shown in March 2008 at the iPhone Development Roadmap event. No different from what we're experiencing now.
