I'm returning both of mine, just too big for me to manage. Much more like an iPad than iPhone, so just not for me and my wife.

"All 3 colors?" If you're asking why the colors on the iPhone aren't super saturated like they are on the S5, it's because Apple chooses to use an IPS display which is known for very accurate color reproduction. Samsung uses Super AMOLED display which throws color reproduction out the door and favors a more color saturated look.

So if you want your colors super saturated, you go Samsung. If, like me, you're into photography and you want accurate color reproduction, you go Apple.

What I meant by 3 colors were Silver, Gold, and Space Gray. They looked washed out.

Which did you get the 6, 6+, or one of each. The 6+ is definitely way too big. I saw it at The Apple Store yesterday. That was the model I wanted. I realize, it's the 6 that's the best fit.

----------

Only reason why I got the 6 Plus is because it has OIS.

If both phones had OIS, I would have went with the regular 6

What is OIS?

Optical Image Stabilisation. A mechanical method of moving the imaging sensor to remove or reduce camera shake. A big step up over software based stabilisation solutions.

I have the 5S its too small , I saw the iPhone 6 and the 6 plus and I am for sure buying the 6 plus, but have to wait for Apple to come out with the GSM unlocked

I predict a massive amount of iPhone 6 returns once they get to handle the 6+ and get screen envy. They'll be rushing to upgrade to a 6+ and there won't be stock. Then they'll come to MacRumors and complain about the injustice of it all.

Yes, I predict this.

I doubt it. I have a plus and played with my friends 6 and could not tell a difference.

----------

I bet there will be a huge amount of people returning the plus.

I played in the ATT store with both and the 6 plus is to go if I want a small iPhone I will stay with the 5S and I am not a big guy only 5,10" and regular hands

the people at work had screen envy then tried to justify their 4.7s. They said they were trying to avoid lines that way. Lol!

It is funny how people think the Plus is a good choice because of replacing iPad Mini or Air. 5.5" is tiny compared to iPad mini and offers NO productivity like iPad. Especially not the rotation mode giving small reading space for the mail.

We all have our own reasons to get one thing versus something else. Here are my reasons and they are only meaningful to me.

The 6 has higher contrast ratio than the 6+, contrast ratio is a key image perception metric. Human eyes are very sensitive to contrast at sharp edges.

The 6 fits my hand and pocket better than the 6+

The OIS feature is nice but not enough...I don't take video from a bike or skateboard. I do value this feature and hope it expands into the small form factor phones over time.

The 6 battery life is better than the 5s which was always fine for me

The 6 pushes less pixels with the same hardware, as an Engineer I like that

The dpi of the 6 is still beyond the resolution of the human eye, more is meaningless unless you project the image to a bigger display...I don't

iPad like IOS features like landscape mode doesn't excite me on a small display...useful on my iPad

My own son would argue every point with me. I know him well enough that he likes the 6+ for two reasons. His 5s was always running out of charge because of the way he used it. The bigger screen for him is awesome because he has always used a phone like a gameboy. He never talks on a phone...talking is for old people. Screen size is a status thing for him.

I think a lot of people consider the 6+ a better phone and I would not disagree based on prices and feature list but "better" is always subjective.

Which is why I went with the 6 as I have a Mini that isn't going anywhere. I had the Note 3 whereas most here never had any experience with a phablet so I at least covered the size and handling factor.

There are more factors than what you brought up. Folks don't have their thinking caps on or just oblivious or just don't flat out understand?

The ones that do well OK then but ....

btw, nice post Ssls6 that I just read.

I love my Plus. It's an amazing device and it seriously is just fine for one handed use. You just have to adjust the grip and the most-used app icons should be placed in lower corners. It feels wonderful and the screen is spectacular. You guys just need to adapt to it if you bought it. Don't return it after a week. Give it at least two. It's really great.

I agree. I'm a photographer so ois is a big plus for me.

Also I'm sure a lot of true 1900x1080 app will come out and look pretty nice on the plus.

The T-Mobile version is unlocked. Alternatively, you can go into the Apple store and get an AT&T or Verizon model and use either one on GSM as long as you pay for them in full.

Good an logical choice. If you already have a mini, the choice is a no brainer. Mini and iPhone 6 is superior to iPhone 6 Plus alone. Especially because you have two devices:

Reason 1: You do not drain battery on your phone when using iPad for superior media consumption.

Reason 2: You can deactivate annoying notifications on your iPad and get a better, undisturbed consumption time.

Reason 3: iPhone can be 2nd screen companion while using media on iPad.

Could go on with more. What I like most about iPad is the undisturbed experience. It won't ring while seeing content. it won't drain my battery and so on. It won't stop my music.

The idea of Plus replacing iPad is hilarious. Almost everyone with the Plus who thought of it as replacing their iPad will soon have an iPad again or miss it very much. Give it a maximum of 1 year before they buy every new iPad as well :).

I received my 6+ and was all excited. Then I started to use it and I'm having second thoughts. It's harder to do one handed task. I know that's expected, but it's more challenging than I thought. My wife has the 6 and I think that's a great size. I can do all one handed task and still get a bigger screen. The jury is still out if I want to get the 6+, but I'm not leaning towards that way.

i think returns will be pretty much the same if not equal on both sides. Now its not about color it about size preference. 6 owners may want a 6+ after seeing a friends or reverse.

Will their be massive returns of iPhone 6+ once people try it out?

I don't think even 6 can do one hand task. You need to move your hand several times to reach top part of screen(it's one hand move, but very inconvenient). I don't believe half screen thing.

I can see a market for both devices. It really comes down to personal preference. I'll admit, I wanted the 6+, but after heavy usage for a day and half I realized it just was not for me. I didn't notice how much I use my phone one-handed until I got the 6+. Its a great phone in every sense IF the screen size is what you want/need. Didn't mesh well with my regular iPhone habits and so I picked up a 6 instead. I think both phones are great and will make people very happy.

The 6 is more one handed friendly. But still makes the top left corner a stretch unless you readjust your grip. I think if I'm going to have re adjust, I'm going to stick with the iP6+. The bigger screen and battery are great! I started out with a full charge and was on the phone for over 3 hours. I was using the device and shut off my iPad Mini so I was forced to use it. Watched YouTube and was messaging all day, not to mention downloading apps and surfing the internet. I went to bed with less than 5% of battery. That was great IMO. If you can get used to the bigger size, I say the iP6+ would be great!

I struggled at first with the times I was only using one hand. But gradually, it's seemed to have gotten easier.

At the moment I still get the odd moments where I have to quickly use my other hand to do something but otherwise - with and without the aid of reachability - I've been doing one-handed tasks rather effortlessly. Or at least it doesn't annoy me.

After I bought iPad Air last year I used for few days/weeks maybe. And then I stop I using it at all. Last I switched it on was probably six/seven months ago. Primarily my technology needs are served by iPhone 5 and Macbook Air. Although I have a need for it but adding a third device now is too much to handle.

The reason for going with iPhone 6 plus is primarily to get a bigger device that can serve the need for missing iPad that I gave to my wife now. I am very sure I would love 6 plus (once ATT delivers it).
